Suzuki Crossover 2021. Bodywork, Exterior. SUV 5-doors, 3 generation

It is a compact, slightly off-road vehicle used in the city and sold worldwide under various names. In Israel, it is known as the Suzuki Crossover, and its third generation will be introduced at the end of November 2021. However, it differs so little from the second generation that it is rather a deep modernization of the second generation: the new Crossover has inherited from its predecessor the platform, the powertrains, and even the body structure, but the exterior is completely new. It will be produced in Hungary. European dealers plan to start selling the Suzuki Crossover before the end of this year, but it is still unknown when it appears in Israel.

What’s new?

It is quite difficult to recognize the 2022 Suzuki Crossover. It has all new body parts and the newest LED optics that shine brightly. But at the same time, the dimensions of the body are the same. The SUV is 4,300 mm long, 1,785 mm wide and 1,585 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2,600 mm. The trunk volume is the same 430 liters and can grow to 1,230 mm with the rear seats folded down.

The interior has practically not changed. Of special note is the new multimedia system with a 9-inch screen, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It is located above the heater deflectors and protrudes above the front panel. In addition, now the vehicle is equipped with a large panoramic roof.

The new Suzuki Crossover will be offered with a 1.4-liter Boosterjet engine with an output of 129 hp and 235 Nm of torque, which is complemented by a mild hybrid superstructure: an electric starter-generator helps the engine in the first seconds after starting. There are also versions with automatic and manual transmissions, with Allgrip front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The basic equipment includes: a keyless entry system, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, a traffic sign recognition system, adaptive cruise control and a blind spot monitoring system.

Will a mild hybrid suit you or will you wait for a plug-in version?
