Mercedes GLE Coupe AMG is a sports all-wheel drive version with a coupe-like silhouette of a mid-size luxury crossover E-class from German brand Mercedes-Benz, which has been produced since 2015. In 2020, the first generation of an SUV was available in the Israeli market, and the second generation was expected.
New Mercedes AMG GLE Coupe combines many opposites: sportiness, off-road performance, and suitability for everyday use. At the same time, the sportiest representative of the new generation GLE remains both visually and technically a real Mercedes-AMG.

Mercedes AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ coupe-crossover 2020 has an improved exterior design that differs from the AMG Line of the production Mercedes-Benz AMG models. The unique exterior design is evident in the AMG-specific radiator grille, bonnet, front apron, and side section design to the rear. Mercedes AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC+ 2020 is even more dynamic, powerful, and expressive. Stylish and extravagant, it underlines its high performance claim with all its lines. It is arguably the most athletic SUV. A sporty-elegant profile with fast-moving lines, an AMG-specific radiator grille with high-gloss chrome vertical bars and an unmistakable AMG logo, a powerful bonnet with wide, clear air intakes indicate the power that lies behind the new Mercedes AMG GLE Coupe.
Inside the new Cross Coupe, there is a characteristic AMG interior with red color accents, from red contrasting decorative stitching on the upholstery elements to red seat belts. Numerous interior elements made from high-quality Nappa leather give the interior a refined appearance. Due to expanded selection of optional materials and colors, you can choose everything you like. The steering wheel has a distinctive 3-spoke design, is truncated at the bottom, and features touch buttons and aluminum paddle shifters. Optimal ergonomics for sports maneuvers!
Modifications
The most powerful versions of 2020/2021 Mercedes GLE Coupe AMG have a 4-liter V8 bi-turbo petrol engine under the hood. AMG GLE 63 Coupe produces 571 hp and 750 Nm of torque, and on the modification of GLE 63 S Coupe, it is 612 hp and 850 Nm. Such coupe-crossovers accelerate in 4.0 and 3.8 seconds, respectively, and the top speed is around 250 km/h for the standard version and 280 km/h for S-version. However, on the basic version, when ordering the AMG Driver’s Package, the cutoff can be shifted to the same 280 km / h.
The engine is fitted with a hybrid EQ Boost system, which is a starter-generator located on the rear bodywork of the crankshaft, powered by a 48-volt electrical system. This bulkhead produces an additional 22 hp and 250 Nm, helps during the first seconds of acceleration, and can also quickly start a gasoline engine as part of the start/stop system. The transmission includes a nine-speed automatic AMG Speedshift TCT 9G with a torque converter and 4Matic+ all-wheel drive with permanent rear-wheel drive and a multi-plate front axle clutch.
Trim versions
All AMG versions of the 2020 coupe-crossovers are equipped with AMG Ride Control+ air suspension, which allows you to change the ground clearance, and for a surcharge, AMG Active Ride Control chassis is available, which reduces roll. Externally, new AMG versions can be distinguished from the standard GLE Coupe by the radiator grille with vertical rods, enlarged air intakes, and exhaust pipes, as well as alloy wheels with a diameter of 21 or 22 inches (depending on the version).
Interior is finished in black Artico faux leather and Dinamica microfiber, complemented by red stitching and accents, carbon fiber inserts, matte stainless steel pedals and door sills, and an AMG steering wheel with aluminum decor. Finishing work can be varied as desired.
New Mercedes AMG GLE Coupe has received an AMG Dynamic Select mode selector with Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Individual, Trail, and Sand programs. Ventilated brake discs with a diameter of 400/345 mm (front/rear) with two- and single-piston calipers are responsible for stopping the car. An AMG Track Pace recorder is available as an option and can record and display up to 80 specific data.
