Peugeot 3008 is a compact 5-door SUV produced by Peugeot since 2009. Since 2016, the second generation Peugeot 3008 has been on the market.
The second generation Peugeot 3008 is a front-wheel drive 5-door SUV. The Peugeot 3008 is the most titled Peugeot SUV, having already won 35 most prestigious world awards in various nominations. And it’s no wonder! The new 3008 has it all: elegant design, luxurious interior, technological power and perfection of innovation.
Distinctive features
The second 3008 was designed in accordance with the Peugeot Quartz concept on the new EMP2 platform from PSA Group, which is also used in the new Peugeot 308, 408 and Citroen C4 Picasso. The new Peugeot 3008 is slightly larger than its predecessor and has a more spacious trunk. But this is not the most important thing! The new 3008 made a splash in the market with its exterior design and interior ‘filling’.
Exterior and interior
The exterior of the modern Peugeot 3008 looks French-inspired and eye-catching: an unusual very wide rear pillar, which is actually made of glass, a lot of chrome and stainless steel roof moldings, the bottom of the doors and wheel arches finished with matte black plastic. All of this makes the car look elegant and bold. The original design solution of the front LED headlights, similar to the cat’s eyes, the signature lion “fangs” formed by the bumper guard protrusions look as if they’re overlapping some part of the headlights. And the rear part has claws! The 3D LED claws are visible at any time of the day and are a striking feature of the 3008. And last but not the least, the panoramic roof, which forms a significant part of the stylish appearance of the new car and fills the interior of the Peugeot 3008 with daylight.
The interior of the 2019/2020 Peugeot 3008 is equipped with a new i-Cockpit Amplify system, which instantly adapts the interior atmosphere in the car to any mood: you can adjust the interior lighting intensity, change the display colors, etc.
Modifications
In Israel, the 2020 Peugeot 3008 comes with both a petrol and a diesel engine, and, in both cases, there are two versions. There are 1.2 and 1.6 liter petrol engines with 130 and 180 hp, respectively, both of which are turbocharged and ensure the acceleration to 100 km in 9.7 and 8.8 seconds. The BLUE HDI 1.5 and 2.0 liter diesel engines are both turbocharged. The maximum speed provided by them reaches 192 and 215 km/h, respectively. The average fuel consumption is 4.1 and 4.6 liters per 100 km. All SUV modifications are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Trim versions
In Israel, there are two 3008 trim versions to choose from: Active and Premium. One is simpler, the other is more advanced. But, at the same time, the main driver assistance systems for which Peugeot is famous are present in both of them: anti-lock braking system (ABS), traction control system (ASR), driver fatigue sensor, driving mode selection system, brake assist (BAS, EBD, EBA) and collision avoidance system, traffic sign recognition and Electronic Stability Program (ESP). The Premium trim additionally includes a very convenient lane control system and blind spot monitoring. Conveniently, the Premium also has adaptive cruise control, in addition to the simple cruise control provided by the Active trim.
Both trim versions include such signature features of the new 3008 as a sunroof and a panoramic roof, as well as tinted windows, climate control, and front and rear parking sensors, a start-stop system, and an electronic dashboard.
