2019 Skoda Octavia Estate. 4th generation
Skoda Octavia is a mid-size C-class vehicle produced by the Czech automobile maker, Škoda Auto, since 1996. The 5-door liftback and estate versions are available. In 2020, Israeli buyers could purchase the 2019 fourth generation Skoda Octavia.
The 2019/2020 Skoda Octavia Estate is a 5-door, 5-seater vehicle that is 4,667 mm long, 1,814 mm wide, and has a 585 liter trunk.
Exterior
The front face of the 2020 Skoda Octavia Estate has become slightly shorter, but taller. The tilt has also increased for better visibility from the driver’s seat. The estate is particularly distinguished by its hood, which now has more relief in the form of stripes of various heights and the protruding center. The radiator grille, slightly larger than before, has retained its trapezoidal shape. It is decorated with an opening at the top, as well as a massive chrome line that frames its perimeter. The grille pattern comprises numerous thin, vertical stripes. The bright and elongated headlights with xenon or LED filling align with the right and left parts of the air intake. The superior trim versions can also boast fog optics. The doors and fenders of the vehicle incorporate a stylish combination of “faceted” and smoothly flowing relief, resting at the bottom against the bright, strongly protruding sills equipped with plates and the circular wheel arches. The rear of the vehicle looks very powerful due to the strongly tilted large rear window and a massive visor hanging over it.
Interior
The interior of the new 2020 Skoda Octavia Estate has also changed. It is finished with better materials, including wear-resistant fabrics, several types of plastic, metal inserts and artificial or real leather. Moreover, the engineers have expanded the multimedia system. The center console is brighter than before, featuring a large touch screen, from which you can configure almost all functions. Below is a thin row of physical buttons and small but interesting ducts. The seats are significantly more comfortable and cozy. The front seats are equipped with decent lateral support, adjustable head restraints, heating and position adjustments based on mechanical or electric drives. In addition to the last two options, the backseat is also equipped with a folding armrest and an organizer.
Modifications
In Israel, the 2020 Skoda Octavia Estate is only available as a front-wheel drive vehicle with a 7-speed semi-automatic transmission. Plus, there are two turbocharged petrol or diesel engines. A 1.5 liter petrol engine with 150 hp allows the estate to accelerate to 214 km/h, while the average fuel consumption is 5.1 liters per 100 km. A 2.0 liter diesel engine with 150 hp provides a speed of up to 221 km/h, consuming, on average, 4.3 liters per 100 km.
Trim versions
Israeli buyers have a chance to choose from two trim versions of the 2020/2021 Skoda Octavia 5-Door Estate for each engine option. Thus, the Octavia equipped with a diesel engine offers the Special and Style trims. As for the petrol version, there are the Ambition Space and Exclusive Space trims. All the trim versions of the 2020 estate include almost a complete set of airbags, except for window ones, central locking, adaptive cruise control, ABS, brake assist, collision avoidance system, traffic sign recognition and lane control systems, as well as hill start assist.
All of the versions are equipped with a multimedia system suitable for Android Auto, Bluetooth and smartphone control. Tinted glass, heated side mirrors, active power steering, rear parking sensors, 2-zone climate control, and a multifunction steering wheel make the vehicle more comfortable, while the start-stop system saves fuel.
The Exclusive Space and Style trims of the 2020/2021 Skoda Octavia 5-Door Estate can additionally boast of LED headlights, folding mirrors, keyless access system, push button start, front parking sensors, rear camera and blind spot monitoring system.
