Toyota C-HR is a compact urban front-wheel drive 5-door ‘J’ class crossover from the Japanese automaker Toyota, which has been produced since 2016. You could buy the first generation of Toyota C-HR in the restyled version of 2019 in Israel in 2020.

The C-HR is a striking crossover SUV with a youthful design, a perfectly tuned chassis, and a version with intelligent all-wheel drive.

First generation

The first generation of Toyota C-HR is based on the TNGA platform, on which the Prius in the 50th body is built. The suspension is independent, MacPherson strut in front and double levers in the back. The car has a ground clearance increased to 160 mm, disc brakes in front and rear, an electronic parking brake, and an electric power steering (it has been reconfigured in the updated car). The TNGA platform endowed the first Toyota C-HR with a sufficiently low center of gravity, which increased the car’s stability on the road, and hence its safety.

Restyling 2019

Refreshed in 2019, the C-HR gets a different front bumper with a body-colored lower bar, new foglights that have moved to the top of the side niches, closer to the headlights, which are now all-LED. The rear of the 2019 °C-HR also features a modified bumper with a lower trim with chrome accents, while the new LED lights are connected by a black spoiler trim strip integrated into the boot lid.

The new Toyota C-HR features improved sound insulation. A new multimedia system with an 8-inch screen and support of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay appeared in the cabin. The SUV’s customization options include a range of exterior color options, while the Toyota C-HR 2019/2020 palette is complemented by a vibrant metallic orange. There are also five two-tone paint options available: white, blue, dark blue, gray, or orange metallic combined with a black roof.

The striking, bold 2019 Toyota C-HR crossover with a two-tone exterior and dynamic character makes an excellent impression on the road, clearly standing out from the traffic flow.

A new feature of the restyled version of the C-HR 2019 is Dynamic Torque Control AWD, which provides an additional safety factor. Under normal conditions, it enables economical driving, when the moment is transmitted to the front wheels, but if necessary, there is an effective automatic distribution of traction between the axles. The electronics assess the road situation 165 times per second and at the first sign of slipping or during cornering, traction is supplied to the rear wheels, which takes no more than one-tenth of a second. The striking, bold 2019 Toyota C-HR crossover with a two-tone exterior and dynamic character makes an excellent impression on the road, clearly standing out from the traffic flow.
