Toyota ProAce is a FWD M-class minivan from the Japanese Toyota, produced since 2013. It can be either 6- or 9-seat. Today, there is a second generation minivan on the market, which, starting in 2016, can be purchased in Israel. There is also a smaller and much newer version - the Toyota ProAce City compact van - launched in 2018.

First generation

The first-generation Toyota ProAce appeared in 2013 and was created on a joint platform together with the French PSA group and the Italian Fiat. Therefore, the Citroën Jumpy, Peugeot Expert, and Fiat Scudo are twins of the Toyota ProAce, manufactured at the common Sevel Nord plant in northern France. The first ProAce was offered in two versions - cargo van and a passenger van for six people, with two options for length and height of the roof. Totally customers were available in three combinations of these parameters with the volume of space depending on the modification - 5, 6, or 7 cubic meters. The payload of the first Toyota ProAce was 1200 kg, and loading could be done through the side or rear doors. It could tow by a trailer of up to 2 tons. It was powered by a choice of three diesel engines.

Second generation

The second-generation Toyota ProAce was unveiled in 2016 and is still in production today. On the Israeli market, there is a 6-seat FWD minivan. The second ProAce is a joint development with the French Peugeot and Citroën. Peugeot calls this model Traveller, while Citroën calls it Spacetourer. The new ProAce is a copy of Citroën Jumpy and Peugeot Expert models. As well as the ‘French’, the Japanese minivan will be offered in three lengths: 4.6 meters, 4.9 meters, or 5.3 meters. Useful volume of the trunk can reach 6.6 cubic meters with the payload of 1.4 tons. In Israel, the van comes in three versions, all with diesel engines, and you can select from two modifications: Medium and Long.
