The Hyundai i25 is a front-wheel drive B-segment passenger car manufactured by the South Korean company Hyundai Motor. It was offered in sedan and hatchback body styles. Many people think it was developed specifically for Israel or Colombia, as it was sold in those countries. But this is not the case. Introduced in 2010, the new Hyundai i25 was called Solaris in Russia, while in other countries it was known as Accent (Korea, United States, Canada, Australia, Ukraine, etc.) or Verna (India). Thus, the Hyundai i25 is nothing more than the good old fourth-generation Accent, loved by motorists. In Korea, the new Accent was introduced to the domestic market in November 2010 under the slogan ‘Guy’s license’. The Koreans designed the new car for young people. Following the new i-concept for naming models for Europe, the export version was named Hyundai i25.

In 2019, the car returned to the Israeli market as the Accent. The current fifth-generation Accent is built on the same platform as the previous generation, but has been modernized. The sedan has the following dimensions: 4,370 (length) × 1,700 (width) × 1,470 (height) × 2,570 (wheelbase). It is unpretentious and reliable.

Exterior and interior

In Israel, the car is offered in Inspire and Premium versions. Externally, the 2021/2022 Hyundai Accent features an updated ‘front end’: it has received new LED headlights, as well as a new rear bumper and updated LED taillights. The ground clearance is 160 mm. The Supervision digital dashboard has a new design and a multimedia system screen has become 1 inch larger, while a navigation system has become standard. The trunk volume reaches 454 liters. The entry-level version includes: an airbag for the driver and front passenger, side airbags in the front and curtains, Isofix supports for the rear row, ABS, ESP, a traction control system, a braking assistance system. The car is equipped with a sunroof, air conditioning and electric windows.

The sedan is equipped with new gasoline engines, 6-speed automatic or manual gearboxes, MacPherson-type independent front suspension and semi-independent rear suspension. The base 1.4-liter multi-point injection engine now produces 100 hp. With a 6-speed manual gearbox, such a car accelerates to 100 km/h in 12.2 seconds, while a version with a 6-speed automatic gearbox does this in 11.5 seconds. The maximum speed is 190 km/h, and the average fuel consumption is 5.9 liters of gasoline in mixed mode. A more powerful 1.6-liter engine with 124 hp has become more fuel-efficient. Combined fuel consumption is 6.5 liters per 100 kilometers. The maximum speed is 180 km/h, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h occurs in 11.4 seconds. Moreover, the car still runs on 92 gasoline.
