Toyota ProAce is a front-wheel drive M-class minivan produced by Toyota (Japan) since 2013. It can be both 6 and 9-seater. Currently, the market offers the second generation Toyota ProAce, which could be purchased in Israel since 2016.

The 2016/2017 ProAce 4-door minivan is delivered to Israel in a 6-seater Long version. The longer version is 5,309 mm long, 1,920 mm wide and 1,940 mm high. It has a wheelbase of 3,275 mm. The standard version of the minivan is a little shorter and lower, but also 6-seater.

Distinctive features

The ProAce driver has a very high seating position (even higher than in the Land Cruiser) and a projection screen in front of their eyes. At the same time, the two side doors are electrically operated and slide off spectacularly. While driving a Toyota ProAce, you can feel like a driver of a real minibus, because the minivan is more than 5 meters long. On the other hand, flat sides, good visibility with the side mirrors and the presence of a rear-view camera help to maneuver. A relaxed, comfortable, even cruising pace of driving is perfect for the Toyota ProAce. And it is designed to transport delegations or a large family.

Modifications

In Israel, the 2019/2020 Toyota ProAce comes with D-4D DOHC diesel engines. You can choose from two ProAce versions: Medium or Long. Depending on the modification, the engines can produce from 122 hp to 177 hp. They can be equipped with either a 6-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic transmission. The maximum speed at which a minivan can travel on the highway ranges from 170 to 185 km/h. And the average fuel consumption, depending on the modification, will be from 5.2 to 5.4 liters per 100 km, which is not much in comparison with competitors in this class.

Trim levels

Israeli buyers can have only one trim level (Standart) of the 2020 Toyota ProAce. It comprises the cruise control, ABS, lane departure warning system, brake assist (BAS, EBD, EBA), and the hill start assist (HSA). The basic options also include the air conditioning, power steering, on-board computer, heated side mirrors, and a full-size spare wheel.
