The Volkswagen Polo is a compact B-class car from the German automaker Volkswagen, produced since 1975. In 2020, the 6th generation of the 2017/2018 model year Polo was introduced to the Israeli market in the 5-door liftback case.
The 5-door 5-seat liftback Volkswagen Polo 2017 has a length of 4483 mm and a width of 1706 mm, with a wheelbase of 2602 mm. The trunk volume is very impressive-550 liters.
Distinctive features
The new Polo has become larger, has a more spacious interior and a wide range of driver assistance systems. Now it’s a modern car, much more masculine, grown-up, and more emotional. The landing has become a little lower, and all the instruments and displays are located on the same visual axis. The all-new Volkswagen Polo 2017/2018 body is based on the MQB-A0 corporate platform. Thanks to this, it has become much more spacious, the size of the interior and the volume of the trunk have increased. Body rigidity increased by 28% compared to the previous generation model. The sixth Polo was the first Volkswagen car to order the installation of a new, fully electronic instrument panel.
Modifications
In Israel, the new Polo comes in a front-wheel drive version with a 1.0-liter gasoline turbo engine of two different capacities-95 and 115 hp. The most interesting is the modification with a 115-horsepower DSG engine that produces a maximum of 200 km / h. 95-horsepower units allow you to accelerate to 187 km/h. Fuel consumption, depending on the modification, ranges from 4.6 to 4.9 liters per 100 km, on average. You can choose either a car with a 5-speed ‘mechanic’ or a 7-speed ‘robot’.
Configuration options
Israeli buyers of the new Volkswagen Polo are offered the Standart package, which has everything you need for life. 6 airbags, rear camera, adaptive cruise control, ABS and ASR, driver fatigue sensor, lane control, collision avoidance system, brake assist (BAS, EBD, EBA) and stabilization system.
From the point of view of comfort, the new Polo Standart is well equipped in the basic version: there is a 2-zone climate control, active power steering, a multifunctional steering wheel, a Start-stop system that saves fuel, diode headlights and an adaptive lighting system. For the modification of the Polo with a 115-horsepower DSG engine, a panoramic roof, tinted windows and a slightly more expanded list of options are offered.
