Porsche Taycan – overview
The Porsche Taycan is an electric car produced by the German automaker Porsche since 2019. It comes as a sedan and as an estate (since 2021). The car has become Porsche’s first step into a new era of electricity, and quite successful. It took the manufacturer long to build this electric car: it was decided to produce the car in the early 2010s, the Porsche Mission E concept appeared in 2015, and the production Taycan was released only in 2019. The first Porsche electric car was designed by Mitja Borkert, Lamborghini's Chief Designer.
