What electric vehicles are sold in Israel?
We have compiled a list of electric vehicles available in Israel in 2023, as well as those that are just waiting to enter the market. We are forming our list at the end of January 2023, so models that appear later may not be included in it. Today, our customers already have more than 50 different electric vehicles at their disposal, priced from 100,000 to 1.55 million shekels. And yet, this is still many times less than cars with internal combustion engines. We hope that by the end of 2023, the Israeli market will have dozens of new electric models, some of which are very affordable, since today the vast majority of electric vehicles presented in Israel cost more than 200,000 shekels, which is quite a lot… But we also know some more affordable models, and we will tell you about them! So, what electric vehicles are sold in Israel in 2023?

Aiways U6
The Aiways U6 is a large roomy electric crossover coupe with one 218 hp electric motor and a driving range of 405 km. The start of deliveries was announced by Auto Hen, an importer of Aiways electric vehicles to Israel. The price will be from 219,000 shekels.
ORA Funky Cat
The ORA Funky Cat is a small stylish electric hatchback in retro design with a driving range for the entry-level version of about 300 km or 400 km for the advanced version. It is planned to be supplied by Colmobil.
Kia Niro EV
The Kia Niro EV is a compact electric SUV that comes with a 204 hp electric motor and a battery with a capacity of 64 kWh, which is enough for 455 km. The cost in 2022 started from 180,000 shekels. It is supplied to our market by Talkar. The latest second generation Kia Niro EV is expected in 2023. The car will be electric or hybrid powertrains, which are notable for their ‘green zone’ driving mode: HEV hybrids or plug-in PHEVs themselves switch to electric traction when necessary.
Audi Q8 e-tron
The Audi Q8 e-tron is a large luxury electric SUV that became the Q8 e-tron following the modernization in the end of 2022. In 2023, it will appear in Israel as an improved replacement for the Audi e-tron. Sales in Germany and other European countries will begin in February 2023. The cost starts at 74,400 euros.
Volvo ХС40
The Volvo XC40 is a compact SUV in Israel is still represented by the first generation of the 2017 model year: front or all-wheel drive and three powertrains to choose from, including gasoline engines, plug-in hybrid systems and all-electric options. In 2023, a new restyled version is expected.
Polestar 2
The Polestar 2 is an electric 5-seater liftback produced since 2020 by the Polestar brand, founded by Volvo together with Geely. At the beginning of 2023, it was restyled: the front-wheel drive was replaced with a basic rear-wheel drive, the driving range and output of the powertrains were increased. The Standard Range version received a new LG Chem traction battery with a capacity of 69 kWh, the driving range grew to 518 km (according to the WLTP cycle).
MG 4 Electric
The MG 4 Electric is a compact electric hatchback from the British brand MG, owned by the Chinese automotive giant SAIC, was released in 2022. It is equipped with two batteries to choose from, allowing you to drive 350 or 450 km without recharging.
BMW iX1
The BMW iX1 is an electric version of the BMW X1 introduced in June 2022.It features two electric motors with a capacity of 286 hp and all-wheel drive. The capacity of the traction battery is 64.7 kWh, which should be enough for 413-438 km. The electric SUV will cost from 329,000 shekels, but deliveries will not begin until the end of the second quarter of 2023. Delek Motors, an importer of BMW models to the Israeli market, announced the start of accepting orders.
In addition, the new Volvo flagship, the electric EX90 SUV, as well as its ‘Chinese counterpart’, an electric coupe-like SUV with a twin-engine power plant, the Polestar 3, is on the way. A new Hyundai Ioniq 6 electric sedan with a driving range of 610 km (WLTP) (the entry-level version is rear-wheel drive) is expected. There will be an electric hatchback, the Opel Astra Electric, and a new generation Peugeot 308 that can be charged from network and with a 3D display, as well as an electric Peugeot e-308 with a driving range of 400 km (WLTP).
In 2023, the first RZ electric SUV from Lexus, which was restyled in 2022, the Lexus UX SUV in the 300e modification will appear. Toyota will soon introduce the second generation C-HR SUV with two hybrid powertrains: conventional and more powerful plug-in ones. A new electric Nissan Aria, a Timeless Japanese Futurism-style SUV is on the way, long with the Renault Megane E-Tech Electric hatchback. In addition, a new electric Skoda will appear in Israel: a fashionable coupe-like SUV, the Enyaq Coupe iV with improved aerodynamics and a driving range of 535 km. We hope to see a new electric crossover hatchback, the Geometry M6 hatchback, a replacement to the Geometry C.

Leapmotor T03
The Leapmotor T03 is a small electric 5-door hatchback with a cartoon-like appearance, which has been produced since May 2020 by Leapmotor. For the moment, it is perhaps the cheapest electric car in Israel. It comes with a level 2 autonomous driving system, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, and a smart parking system. The model features an 8-inch dashboard and a 10.1-inch touch screen multimedia system with voice control. It is possible to remotely control the car via smartphone and update the system ‘over the air’. The hatchback features one electric motor on the front axle with a capacity of 108 hp and a battery with a capacity of 41 kWh. The driving range is 280 km. The price is about 100,000 shekels.
Fiat 500E
The Fiat 500E is an electric version based on the popular Italian hatchback, the Fiat 500. The design uses retro motifs of the original model of the 50s nicknamed ‘Topolino’ (‘mouse’ in Italian). That’s why an electric car is so different from a simple Fiat 500, it’s longer than usual, it has a wider wheelbase and more wheels. With one electric motor with a capacity of 118 hp and a 42 kWh battery, the car travels about 300 km without recharging. The price varies from 130-180,000 shekels, depending on the version.
Seres 3 EV
The Seres 3 EV is a compact electric SUV that almost became the leader of the Israeli electric vehicle market in 2022. It has a decent (and quite real!) driving range of 329 km, which is confirmed by performance tests. There are also disadvantages: according to the Israeli Ministry of Transport, the new Seres 3 EV is 214% more expensive than the ‘reference’ Tesla Model 3 in terms of maintenance. Well, perhaps not everyone will like the defiant appearance of the model. The price is 150,000 shekels.
Geely Geometry C
The Geely Geometry C is a 5-door electric crossover hatchback appeared on the Israeli market not so long ago and immediately became one of the bestsellers in 2022. Geely with its incredibly successful Geometry C leads the Israeli electric vehicle market, ahead of even the super popular Tesla, which ranks second. It is offered in two versions with batteries of different capacities, providing a driving range of 400 or 550 km. The engine produces 204 hp. The price varies from 152,000 to 165,000 shekels.
BYD Atto 3
The BYD Atto 3 is a compact electric SUV that entered the top 3 Israeli electric vehicle market leaders in 2022. The secret of success is simple: affordable cost, rich equipment, a decent driving range of 420 km, and a high level of safety. The price varies from 163,000 to 175,000 shekels.
The models thatcost less than 200,000 shekels also include: the Opel Corsa-e electric hatchback (335 km and 164,000 shekels), the MG ZS EV electric SUV (320-440 km and 164,000 shekels), the Peugeot e-208 electric hatchback (339 km and 165,000 shekels), the Peugeot e-2008 compact electric SUV (319 km and 171,000 shekels), the Citroen e-C4 electric hatchback (351 km and 174,000 shekels), the Aiways U5 mid-size electric SUV (400-410 km and 177-193,000 shekels) and the Kia Niro EV electric SUV (427 km and 200,000 shekels). By the way, the Tesla Model 3 costs only 6,000 shekels more…
As for the most expensive electric vehicles available in Israel… This is a Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo with a driving range of 419-490 km, whose cost starts from 795,000 and tends to 1,550,000 shekels. The stylish liftback, the Mercedes-Benz EQS, capable of driving up to 700 km without recharging, will cost 1,000,000 - 1,550 000 shekels. The BMW i7 electric sedan with a driving range of about 600 km is already available in Israel at a price of 1,250,000 shekels.
