The Alfa Romeo Giulia has taken first place in three categories at the SPORT AUTO AWARD in Germany. This competition is held among the 15,400 readers of the renowned trade magazine SPORT AUTO, reflecting the tastes of German sports car fans. In 2021, the 29th SPORT AUTO AWARDS offers the readers to choose from 234 cars divided into 28 categories.
The Israeli market offers both classic rear-wheel drive versions and all-wheel drive cars of the second generation, restyled in 2020. The entry-level Giulia cars are equipped with a 2-liter turbocharged engine (200 or 280 hp) and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 4×4 QV version has a 2.9-liter V6 turbo engine with 510 hp. The Giulia Quadrifoglio accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and develops a top speed of 307 km/h.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia 2.0 Turbo Veloce with 280 hp has won the import class of the ‘Production sedans/station wagons up to 75,000 Euro’. For the fifth time in a row, the Giulia Quadrifoglio has won the import class of the category ‘Production sedans/station wagons up to 100,000 euro’. The car is equipped with a 2.9 liter V6 Bi-Turbo engine with 510 hp.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA has won the import class of the category ‘Production sedans/station wagons over 100,000 Euros’. The series ‘Gran Turismo Alleggerita’ (‘lightweight Grand Tourer’) comprising only 500 cars is named after one of the most legendary cars in the glorious history of the brand, the 1965 Giulia Sprint GTA. The Giulia GTA is 100 kg lighter than the Quadrifoglio. The sedan is equipped with an upgraded Alfa Romeo 2.9 V6 Bi-Turbo engine with 540 hp.
