Sales of the new Mercedes EQV, the German brand’s luxury and all-electric minivan, began in 2020. And after that, the manufacturer released a new Mercedes e-Vito, an electric van with the same equipment as the fashionable EQV.

Mercedes-Benz e-Vito

The previous e-Vito was equipped with a 41.4-kilowatt battery, which was barely enough for 150-180 km. The new Mercedes e-Vito is equipped with a 100 kilowatt battery from the EQV, which uses 90 kilowatt-hours. Thanks to this, the WLTP driving range has increased to 421 km. The engine of the new e-Vito is also taken from the EQV. It is an electric motor with 204 hp that drives the front wheels. The main difference between the e-Vito and EQV is a much more modest interior, a different set of options and, of course, cost. In Germany, the cost of the passenger version of the e-Vito starts from 64,069 euros, and the EQV’s cost starts from 70,631 euros.

As a reminder, the Mercedes V-Class and Mercedes Vito are practically the same car with different trim levels: the first is made as comfortable as possible, the second is intended for commercial use as a minibus or cargo van. Neither the V-Class nor Vito is officially represented in Israel. We hope that at least the new Mercedes EQV will come to us.

Interesting fact
Mercedes-Benz EQV

The Mercedes EQV 300 is equipped with a fully electric drive, a 204 hp/150 kW electric motor on the front axle or a 100 kW/h battery in the bottom. The maximum speed is 140 km/h. A full charge of the battery should be enough for 418 km. The recuperation level can be adjusted. An 11 kW on-board charger can fully charge the battery in 10 hours, a full charge at refueling will take 2 hours, but up to 80% may well be enough for an hour.
