BMW 2 Series. So different, but always unique
In 2021, the manufacturer released the second generation BMW 2 Series.
The BMW 2 Series is a compact car C-class manufactured by BMW since 2014 in coupe, cabriolet, minivan, and sedan versions. The market currently offers the first generation BMW 2 Series after the 2017 restyling, which can be purchased in Israel (as of 2020).
The BMW 2 Series unites very different cars, including rear and front wheel drive versions, as well as the impressive variety of bodies. The first generation
The first generation BMW 2 Series has been produced since 2014, and was restyled in 2017. Despite the fact that the Germans position the 2 Series as an independent new model, it is difficult to refrain from mentioning the 1 Series, which, in fact, was replaced by a new two-door model. The 1 Series coupe (E82) has been produced since 2007, and over the years has managed to win a considerable amount of fans. Therefore, it is logical that the manufacturer initially created the first generation BMW 2 Series as a coupe. The car received the F22 designation and went on sale as a sports coupe. Since 2015, the manufacturer started producing the F23 convertible versions. The convertible immediately gained popularity among motorists in the USA and Europe due to its elegant lines, thoughtful body design, excellent functionality and high driving dynamics. And then the minivans came out, becoming the first cars in BMW history to have front-wheel drive. This was dictated by increased competition from Mercedes. These cars were optionally equipped with the xDrive system, whereas the longer version had larger dimensions and a 7-seater interior design.
The second generation
The second-generation BMW 2 Series was revealed in autumn 2019. Sport. Dynamics. Traditions. These are the words that first come to mind when you see this new model. The exterior of the 2017/2018 BMW 2 Series is sporty, dynamic, modern, and well-recognized due to traditional BMW outlines. The Germans have always been good at making beautiful cars, and the BMW 2 series proves it.
The BMW 2 Series in Gran coupe (sedan) makes a range of compact cars more powerful and credible. The BMW 2 Series convertible is expressive, original, and innovative. The BMW 2 Series Active Tourer is a capacious, universal and dynamic minivan.
The BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe was manufactured to create new standards. The expressive front part, non-frame doors, smooth curves of the roof, sporty rear part with LED lights are the perfect combination of elegance and extravagance.
