Hyundai in Israel. Prices in 2023

Hyundai Kona EV 2020. Bodywork, Exterior. SUV 5-doors, 1 generation, restyling 1

We already know the prices for Hyundai models in Israel in 2023, as the updated price list was published by Colmobil, which represents the Korean brand in the Israeli market. As expected, the price for electric and hybrid cars has risen, on average, from 4,000 to 15,000 shekels. This is due to a change in the formula for calculating the ‘green’ tax (tax on electric vehicles has increased from 10% to 20%, whereas the benefit limit has been reduced from 75,000 to 60,000 shekels). The price for Hyundai vehicles with internal combustion engines has remained unchanged, which is good news.

Hyundai Elantra

The seventh generation Hyundai Elantra is built on a new platform that has made it larger. The 4-door coupe is designed in the style of ‘sensual sportiness’ and features a completely new, more spacious interior. The sedan has not only become more technically advanced, but for the first time in its long (since 1990) history, it has acquired a hybrid version.

In Israel, the sedan is available in two versions. The gasoline version is equipped with a 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 127 hp, 6-speed automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive. Fuel consumption is 7.1 liters per 100 kilometers within the combined cycle, and it takes the car 11.6 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. The cost of this modification has not changed in 2023.

The Hyundai Elantra Hybrid sedan comes with a 1.6-liter turbo gasoline engine and an electric motor, paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch robotic gearbox. Another component is a 1.32 kWh lithium-ion battery. The total power of the powertrain is 140 hp and 195 Nm. The hybrid Elantra can run on pure electric power, but it cannot be recharged from a conventional outlet. The electric driving range is small and is not even indicated by the manufacturer. The average fuel consumption is 4.4 liters per 100 km. This modification has risen in price by 5,000 shekels in 2023, now prices for the new Hyundai Elantra Hybrid start at 157,900 shekels.

Hyundai Kona EV

We already know this electric SUV quite well. It is sold in our market as the restyled 2020 restyling entry-level Standard-range version, equipped with one electric motor on the front axle with a capacity of 136 hp and a battery with a capacity of 39.2 kWh, which allows you to drive about 305 km on a single charge. Here you can find out more about its pros and cons in detail. Later, the Long-range advanced version has arrived in Israel. It is equipped with a 204-horsepower electric motor and a battery with a capacity of 64 kWh, offering a driving range of 484 km. For the moment, we know only a new price for the Hyundai Kona EV Standard-range, which will increase by 4,000 shekels and amount to 152,900 shekels.

Hyundai Ioniq 5

The most popular Korean electric car in Israel, the new Hyundai Ioniq 5 ranks 3rd in terms of sales in our market. In Europe, it can even be named the best car of 2022, and Auto Express magazine gave it a prestigious design award and recognized it as the best premium electric vehicle. More information about why the Israelis love it can be found here.

Today, several versions of the Ioniq 5 with different battery capacities are already offered, but so far only one version with a capacity of 72.6 kWh is available in Israel. But you can choose a modification with one or two motors. The rear-wheel drive single-engine crossover hatchback produces 217 hp, accelerates to a maximum of 185 km/h, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/ in 7.4 seconds, and has a range of 481 km. The all-wheel drive twin-engine version with a total power of 305 hp allows you to accelerate in 5.2 seconds, while the driving range is 430 km. Unfortunately, in 2023, the new Hyundai Ioniq has risen in price, on average, by 14,000-15,000 shekels, so the price now only starts from 213,900 shekels and will reach a maximum of 269,900 shekels.
