BMW X6. Sports coupe for activity holidays
BMW X6 is a mid-size crossover from the German BMW, produced since 1999. Х6 combines features of a SUV - like 4WD, great clearence, big wheels, strong engine - and features of a coupe - like a sharp backfall. BMW classifies Х6 as a Sports Activity Coupe or SAC. X6 embodies principles of BMW: sports and comfort. Every generation of this car is a small technical revolution. On the today’s Israeli market, the third-generation SUV BMW X6 2019 is available.
First generation
The first generation of BMW X6 was produced from 2008 to 2014 and restyled in 2012. The first X6 was a little bit longer and wider than the X5, but it had a little less room for passengers in the back row. Only since 2011, and only as an option, the X6 began to offer a three-seat rear sofa. The first X6 differed from the X5 design front, low sloping roof and four-seat interior, the interior and design were the same.
Second generation
The second generation BMW X6 was produced from 2014 to 2020. The second X6 is similar in design to the X5, but with a sportier outlines. All versions of the second-generation crossover had all-wheel drive and were equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Despite the increased size and improved equipment, the X6 was lighter than its predecessor and looked much more aggressive. Well, the interior design of the X6 still repeated the X5. Other features of the second-generation crossover included exclusive, specially tuned transmission, suspension, and steering systems, multiple engine options, four optional adaptive suspension packages, and xDrive 4WD system.
Third generation
The third-generation BMW X6 is produced since 2019. The new Х6 looks as a rageful shark that is ready to devour every competitor. Bavarian designers made their crossover more coupe-like, so X6 2019/2020 seems to be an off-road version of the 8 series. Changes in appearance affected the entire Х6 bodywork! While the exterior of the BMW X6 2020 is quite agressive, the interior is very comfortable. It provides not just homely comfort but a comfort of a luxurios villa. This is because expensive-looking best materials and elegant dashboard element design. The interior looks even richer at night, when the LED lighting change its colors.
