2019 Lincoln Corsair SUV. 1st generation
The 2019 Lincoln Corsair is a renamed and improved Lincoln MKC based on the successful Ford Escape. The Corsair is the entry-level Lincoln SUV, the most affordable of all Lincoln models, able to compete with the compact crossovers from premium European brands, including the BMW X3 and the Mercedes GLC. Those who choose the Corsair are by no means guided by cost considerations.
Design
The 2019/2020 Lincoln Corsair is an excellent example of Lincoln design, which is also used for such new models of the brand as the Nautilus, Aviator and Navigator. The Corsair is the most compact of the Lincoln models, but retains all the family traits, including a massive front face, a large grille, muscular hood contours and door lines. The front face is visually well balanced by the well-thought-out stern. Compared to the MKC model, the Corsair is taller, slightly ‘more composed’ and more aerodynamic. It is less aggressive and at the same time looks more formidable, but not bulky.
Interior
The Corsair is a typical Lincoln model. Actually, this is all you need to know about the interior. It is luxurious, finished with natural wood, featuring soft surfaces, chrome-plated switches and noble colors. Lincoln put a particular focus on the soundproofing, which turned out to be quite successful. The vehicle comes with a sound-absorbing windshield and front side glass, with the function of active noise cancellation being performed by the stereo system. An advanced division wall is installed between the engine and the passenger compartment, thanks to which the sound of the engine at speeds under 140 km/h feels like the rumbling of a snoring kitten.
