Dacia Dokker Stepway. For all occasions
The Dacia Dokker is a compact commercial vehicle that has been produced from 2012 to 2021 and is available in Israel. Since October 2014, it has received a special Stepway version, similar to other Stepway models. Built on the Logan’s platform, the Dokker was offered in two versions: a 5-seater passenger minivan and a cargo van.
The Dacia Dokker Stepway is a modification of the front-wheel drive compact van Dokker that offers an SUV-inspired image. It is intended for people who need a ‘functional multi-purpose vehicle’ and lead an active lifestyle. In January 2017, the model was updated along with the original model. The updated vehicle features the renewed exterior, refreshed interior and new equipment.
Israeli buyers have access to the new first generation Dacia Dokker, restyled in 2017. The front-wheel drive compact van is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine with an output of 95 hp, with the average fuel consumption being only 4.4 liters per 100 km. The engine is complemented by a 5-speed manual transmission. The price starts from 116,510 shekels (including the vehicle registration fee, as of 2021).
Exterior
The Dacia Dokker Stepway is distinguished by a scratch-resistant plastic body kit around the perimeter of the body: the lining protects the bumpers, grille, sills and extended wheel arches. The Azurite blue color of the body is an exclusive feature of the Stepway modification. The roof rails are made of aluminum, and the rims have a unique design. The ground clearance is 190 mm. The Dokker crossover version is 4,363 mm long, 1,751 mm wide and 1,814 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2,810 mm.
Interior
The new Dacia Dokker Stepway features blue interior finishing details and special seat trim, but generally repeats the original model, including 5-seater passenger compartment and a huge trunk with a volume of 800 to 3,000 liters.
The entry-level version comes with two airbags, ABS with EBD, a sound system with four speakers, cruise control, air conditioning, front power windows, heated front seats and other necessary options. Moreover, you can order a sound system and navigation with a touch screen, a climate control system and a rear parking sensor.
Engines and chassis
As for the chassis, the 2021 Dacia Dokker Stepway has the same front-wheel-drive B0 platform with a MacPherson strut suspension at the front and a flexible beam at the rear, hydraulic power steering and a braking system with ventilated front discs and simple rear drums.
The ‘off-road’ Dokker has only two engines. There is a 1.2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder 16 valve TCe gasoline direct injection engine, producing 115 hp at 4,500 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 1,500 rpm. There is also a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder 8 valve dCi diesel engine with the Common Rail system, which produces 90 or 110 hp. The compact van can only have a 5-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. The gasoline-powered Stepway vehicles consume 6.2 liters of fuel per 100 km in the combined cycle, whereas the diesel versions consume 4.5 liters.
