DS 3 Crossback is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV from the French automaker DS Automobiles, part of PSA Peugeot Citroen concern, produced since 2019. In 2020, the first generation of this luxury crossover was available on the Israeli market.
Compact 5-door 5-seater crossover 2019/2020 is 4,118 mm in length, wheelbase is 2,558 mm, 1,791 in width, 1,534 in height. Trunk volume is 350 liters.
Distinctive features
New DS 3 Crossback is the first PSA Group model built on the new modular CMP platform. It also formed the basis for the new Peugeot 208 and Opel Corsa. CMP (Common Modular Platform) is more compact platform than EMP2 on which the Citroen C4 Picasso, Peugeot 308, and Opel Grandland X are based. New DS crossover is one of the Group’s smallest crossovers – it is just 4.12 m in length.
The car has interesting features that might appeal to advanced drivers. Such as the ability to choose the color of the roof, new matrix headlights, a bunch of electronics, color multimedia display traffic sign recognition, brake assist system, keyless access system with the ability to open from a smartphone, recessed door handles like Range Rover Velar and so on.
Salon and interior
New DS 3 Crossback features French sophistication. For example, beautiful and stylish details, as well as chic leather trim. The interior looks great! In the center of the front panel, there is a 10.3-inch touchscreen display. It is a lot for B-class crossovers standards. There is a 7-inch display instead of a dashboard. It has an unusual shape – it is square rather than wide-rectangular. On both displays you can display a navigation system map.
Modifications
Front drive crossover for the Israeli market is equipped with a 1.2-liter gasoline turbo engine with 130 or 155 hp. Fitted with 8-speed automatic transmission. Fuel consumption is 4.9 and 5.1 liters per 100 km, respectively. The top speed is 200 and 208 km/h. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.2 and 8.2 seconds.
Trim versions
In Israel, the model is offered in two trim versions: Grand Chic and So Chic. All models have interior lighting, side skirts, and a panoramic roof, as well as two-tone body and diode headlights. The top version is equipped with tinted windows, Alcantara interior, an extended package of electric adjustments, heating, and massage in the front seats.
Both versions of DS 3 Crossback 2020 are equipped with adaptive cruise control, back-up camera, front and back parking sensors, collision avoidance system, blind-spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, and brake assist system.
There is modern multimedia with support for Carplay and Android Auto, with voice control and remote control via smartphone, navigation, and an audio system, dual-zone climate control, keyless access, start-stop technology, and so on.
