Fiat Tipo sedan. 2nd generation 2015
The 2nd generation Fiat is a small golf-class FWD car, produced since 2015 by the Italian Fiat. It has several body options: 5-door hatchback, estate, and sedan. The new Tipo sedan is first demonstrated in 2015 in Istambul. The sales in Turkey started in October 2015. Since 2016, hatchback and estate are available on the European market. On the today’s Israeli market, the second-generation Fiat Tipo 2015 in the 4-door sedan body option is available.
The car shares the same platform with Jeep Renegade. The size is similar to Ford Focus. Trunk volume exceeds 500 L. In the European New Car Assessment Programme, Fiat Tipo 2016 won 4 stars out of 5 in the common safety rating. According to the respective estimation, the adult safety is 85%, the active safety is 57%.
Modifications
Israeli buyers of Fiat Tipo 2019/2020 can select one of two sedan modifications with petrol engines. A 1.4-L 95-hp engine has a 6-speed mechanical transmission, and a 1.6-L 110-hp engine has a 6-speed automatic transmission. Both conform to the Euro 6 standard.
Trim versions
For the Israeli market, the Tipo is offered in two configurations: COMFORT and LOUNGE. The list of Fiat Tipo 2020 equipment includes the Uconnect multimedia system with a 5″ display, Bluetooth support, the ability to connect Apple gadgets, voice control, navigator and a rearview camera. Driving mode selection, lane-keeping aid, traffic sign recognition and a collision avoidance system are included in both trim versions. In terms of comfort and functionality, the Fiat Tipo LOUNGE is a little nicer - it offers 2-zone climate control, rain and light sensors, fog lights, and electric adjustment of the driver’s seat.
