The high level of reliability of components and assemblies, among other advantages, allowed the car to enter the Guinness World Records as the best-selling car in the world. In addition, it offers an interior worthy of a high-end car, high-end options and a well-tuned suspension. Inside, owners note comfortable seats with good lateral support and cool interior trim materials. It is made of high quality soft plastic with stitching on the panel and doors. It is obvious that the manufacturer has invested a lot of effort and money.

The chassis is capable of quietly handling bumps and joints. The car’s behavior on bad roads has improved due to the replacement of the semi-independent rear suspension with an independent one. For tall people, there is not enough space in the rear seats, especially in terms of headroom. The 2021/2022 Toyota Corolla sedan is 4,630 mm long and 1,780 mm wide, while the wheelbase reaches 2,700 mm. Thanks to its dynamic and athletic silhouette design, the car is called the ‘little Camry’. The new sedan is delivered to Israel in several modifications:
- The 1ZR-FAE version is equipped with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 132 hp, which accelerates the car to 190 km/h and consumes, on average, 5.4 liters per 100 km.
- The 2ZR-FXE hybrid version offers an engine with a total capacity of 121 hp, which allows acceleration to 180 km/h, but the average fuel consumption is only 3.4-3.5 liters per 100 km.
All models are complemented by a modern CVT. Those who enjoy dynamic driving may find the car insufficiently powerful. Israeli buyers can choose from 3 trim levels: Sun, Sense and Limited. Modifications with gasoline engines are only available in the Sense and Sun trim levels, but the hybrid model is also available in the Limited version. The basic equipment of all versions is rich and TOYOTA SAFETY SENSE electronic ‘assistants’ ensure a high level of road safety.
The entry-level Sun version offers a set of 7 airbags (including rear and driver’s knee airbags), tire pressure sensor, driver fatigue sensor, immobilizer, central locking, adaptive cruise control, an almost complete set of electronic assistants, including a choice of driving mode, lane control and blind spot monitoring systems, collision avoidance and traffic sign recognition systems, as well as a braking and starting assistance system plus traction control. Navigation system, active power steering, 2-zone climate control, multifunction steering wheel, electrically folding mirrors, leather steering wheel, LED headlights and adaptive lighting system are also available in all trim levels of the 2021/2022 Toyota Corolla sedan.
Hatchback

The 2021/2022 Toyota Corolla hatchback is wide enough for its class: 4,370 mm long, 1,790 mm wide, the trunk volume reaches 313 liters. The car has a more sporty front end design. The hatchback is supplied to the Israeli market with a hybrid system with a capacity of 121 hp. Such a modification accelerates to a maximum of 180 km/h and consumes an average of 3.4 liters per 100 km. The model is equipped with a CVT. In Israel, the car is sold in two trim levels: Excite and Excite Sky priced at 139,900 and 141,900 respectively. The equipment is similar to that of the sedan. The Excite Sky version is distinguished by the panoramic roof.

The 2021/2022 Toyota Corolla estate has an attractive and expressive design, with the same front end as that of the sedan with tailgate. The car has a more spacious and equally comfortable interior, a large trunk with a volume of 471 liters. The estate is 4,650 mm long and 1,790 mm wide. The Toyota estate is supplied to the Israeli market with a 122 hp hybrid engine, but in two modifications with different volumes and degrees of compression. On average, gasoline consumption is only 3.2-3.4 liters per 100 km. The maximum speed is 180 km/h.
Israeli buyers can choose from two trim levels: Space (148,990 shekels) and Space+ (150,990 shekels). The equipment includes: a set of electronic assistants, including driving mode selection, a driver fatigue sensor, lane control and blind spot monitoring systems, collision avoidance and traffic sign recognition systems, a braking assistance system, hill start assist and hill descent control systems.
