Ford Edge crossover. 2nd generation, restyling in 2018
Ford Edge 2018/2019 is a second-generation restyled version, produced by Ford since 2006. It’s a mid-size 5-seat crossover. The basic version is FWD and the advanced versions are 4WD. On the today’s Israeli market, SUV 5-doors Ford Edge restyled in 2018 is available.

Modifications
Every new Ford Edge comes to the Israeli market with one of two turbocharged EcoBoost gasoline engines. The 2-L engine with 248 hp is available for FWD models, while the 2.7-L engine with 330 hp is designed for 4WD versions. The latter - V-shaped 6-cylinder - has a top speed of 209 km/h and can speed up to one hundred in 6.87 seconds. Both engines are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Trim versions
In Israel, the 2018/2019 Ford Edge is available in as many as 4 options! Everyone can select his or her favorite option: Sel Plus, ST, Titanium, or Titanium Plus. The Titanium and Sel Plus models have a more comfortable suspension setup than the ST models with stiffer springs, bigger wheels, and an adaptive steering system. Driving Titanium and Sel Plus will be soft and smooth. Driving ST will be stiffer, but better for driving across the wilderness, thanks to 4WD. Also, the Ford Edge ST exterior features decorative moldings and dodgers.
As for the interior and safety - there are differences in the trim versions, but there are not to a lot of them. There are 7 airbags, anti-theft system, central locking, adaptive cruise control (except Sel Plus with only a cruise control), Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth, two USB sockets for connecting and charging devices, touch screen, voice control function, sunroof, tinted windows, 2-zone climate control, and active power steering.
Driving Titanium and Sel Plus will be soft and smooth. Driving ST will be stiffer, but better for driving across the wilderness, thanks to 4WD.
Every version besides Sel Plus has a leather interior. ST also has a black cloth finishing of the ceiling. ST and Titanium Plus provide the full-fledged parking assistance system: front and rear parking distance sensors, automatic parking system. Hand-free trunk access is available in every Ford Edge version!
As for a variety of driver assistance systems, even the simplest version of Edge - Sel Plus - has a driving mode selection system, VSM, blind spot monitoring and hill-start assist (HSA). This is in addition to the standard ABS, ASR, ESP and brake assist systems (BAS, EBD, EBA). The more advanced options of the Ford Edge include lane keeping aid and collision avoidance system.
