The new Ford Focus 2018/2019 is already the 4th generation of this front-wheel drive compact car’ C " class, produced by the American company Ford since 1998. Today it is presented in 3 bodies: sedan, station wagon and hatchback, each of which is sold in the Israeli market.

Exterior
The move to the new C2 platform marked a change in the size and proportions of the car body. The most significant correction was made to the wheelbase, which increased by 53 mm (up to 2701 m). The external dimensions were not adjusted so much. The 2018/2019 Ford Focus hatchback has a length of 4378 mm, a width of 1825 mm, a height of 1454 mm. At the same time, the body became lighter (reduction in weight to 88 kg) and rigid on torsion (increase to 20%).
The Focus 4-generation hatchback received a new grille, widely spaced headlamps with bright LED filling, a neat bumper with an original design of fog lamps and a small slot in the central air intake. The silhouette of the’ fourth " Focus pleases with sporty outlines and harmonious proportions. The developers slightly increased the length of the hood and shifted the front roof pillars back, and the sidewalls were endowed with an expressive relief of the ribs, forming athletic front and rear wings. The image is complemented by large cutouts of wheel arches, in which 16 -, 17-and 18-inch alloy wheels feel great.
Interior
In the cabin of the updated Focus, there is little that reminds of the car of the previous generation. The front panel received a completely different architecture with a simple and concise instrument cluster, a multimedia system display sticking out over the console, convenient audio control units and an air conditioner. The central tunnel was also revised, where there was a platform for wireless charging with a USB port and an electric ‘handbrake"button. On modifications with an 8-speed automatic transmission, a round gear selector is adjacent to them, replacing the usual lever.
Trin versions
The list of equipment offered for Ford Focus 2020 has been supplemented with previously unavailable options. Will please the buyer the ‘upper’ configuration, which includes a multimedia system Sync 3 with 8-inch touch screen (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice control, sat NAV, Wi-Fi), 2-zone automatic climate control, electric adjustable front seats, retractable projection display, wide-angle rear view camera, power tailgate with opening system ‘hands-free’, panoramic roof with sunroof, premium acoustics B&O PLAY with 10 speakers (power 675 watts).
The set of electronic assistants in the Ford Focus Hatchback 2020 is also unusually wide. The driver will be assisted by adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function, automatic switching of headlights, warning of frontal collisions, lane keeping, recognition of road signs, automatic parking attendant and a number of other systems - the choice depends on the configuration. If you choose the ACTIVE X configuration, presented on the Israeli market, you will get a more ‘crossover’ version of the hatchback with off-road body kits, a choice of driving mode and increased ground clearance.
