Geely Geometry C has arrived in Israel
The long-awaited Chinese electric family SUV, Geometry C, will be sold in Israel in the 350 PRO or 460 PRO variants (the number reflects the driving range). Union Motors Group is an importer of Geely electric vehicles. The new Geometry C is a pretty good choice for those who like electric vehicles and we can tell you why.
Exterior
The new Geely Geometry C is a roomy vehicle with a modern sophisticated design that gives an impression of speed and strength. The extremely low drag coefficient (0.273) not only makes the SUV look eye-catching and swift, but also increases the driving range. By the way, it looks more like a raised hatchback, but the Chinese themselves call it an SUV. The Geely Geometry C has smart features that contribute to even greater aerodynamics, for example, the door handles retract when parking and driving, but automatically extended when the owner of the vehicle approaches and retract again when he/she moves back.
The SUV is 4,432 mm long, 1,833 mm wide and 1,560 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. It is larger than the MG ZS and is similar in size to vehicles like the Kia Sportage. The dimensions of the wheelbase determine an impressive trunk volume, ranging from 417 liters to 1,308 liters with the rear seats folded down. The curb weight of the entry-level Geometry C is 1,607 kg, whereas the long-range model offers 1,665 kg.
LED outdoor lighting with 80 bright LEDs and a 1.2 m long light strip form a single energy line. The 190 cm panoramic roof provides maximum illumination in the passenger compartment while being protected from thermal radiation.
Interior
The new 2021 Geely Geometry C has an ergonomic interior finished with modern high-quality materials. Just like other electric vehicles, the crossover hatchback is very advanced: all models are equipped with a 12-inch multimedia system (with WAZE navigation) and a small digital dashboard. The floating console between the front seats houses a wireless charging pad, a rotary gear selector, and a touchpad for controlling a 360-degree camera. The list of equipment includes the climate system, which is controlled both through a touchscreen monitor and traditional buttons for quick activation of climate control.
All models are additionally equipped with full LED lighting, intelligent engine start, electric folding side mirrors, power driver’s seat, three USB ports, wireless connectivity, 8-speaker BOSE sound system as standard. The 460 PRO also includes an electric passenger seat control as standard.
Powertrain
The new 2021/2022 Geometry C features an electric powertrain with a maximum output of 204 hp, which allows the SUV to accelerate to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 150 km/h.
Modifications
- The Geometry C PRO 350 is equipped with a 53 kWh lithium-ion battery, which provides a driving range of up to 350 km. You can fully charge the model from standard household sources in about 5 hours.
- The Geometry C PRO 450 is equipped with a 70 kWh battery with a driving range of up to 460 km. It takes about 7 hours to fully charge the vehicle. The model has a quick charge function from a 75 kW DC device, which allows you to charge the battery up to 80% in 38 minutes.
Both models have a power consumption of 165 Wh/km. The battery charge status is displayed on the dashboard screen, on the multimedia screen under Battery data, and by flashing dynamic LED lighting at the front of the vehicle. The electric vehicle has 3 modes of energy recovery to choose from. The gearbox mechanism uses advanced technologies to reduce resistance to movement and increase the driving range.
Safety
The Geely Geometry C is a new model that has not yet passed crash tests. However, the electric vehicle is standardly equipped with advanced safety systems, including six airbags, autonomous braking, active lane departure control, adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, blind spot monitoring system, 360-degree camera, automatic high beam, etc.
The Geometry C smart driving sensors are networked with 14 radar sensors that provide intelligent driving at the Level 2 driving automation. The electric vehicle is also equipped with an additional traffic jam assist, a lane keeping assist system, an advanced stability control system and an intelligent high beam system.
