Jaguar XF. 2nd generation, 2020 restyling
The restyled Jaguar models of the XF family appeared in the autumn of 2020. The Jaguar FX is the successor to the legendary Jaguar S-Type, a true executive car produced by Jaguar Land Rover (UK) since 2008. The current, second generation was released back in 2015, so it’s time to restyle it. And despite the fact that you cannot buy the Jaguar FX sedans and estates in Israel, we’d still like to tell you about them.
Exterior
The exterior of the 2020/2021 Jaguar FX has changed very slightly. It will be hard to notice new bumpers, a slightly wider radiator grille and upgraded optics unless you are a fan of the British brand. The base headlights are now LED, and matrix headlights and ‘running’ direction indicators are available for a surcharge.
Interior and equipment
But the sedan and estate have a completely different interior. The slightly curved screen of the Pivi Pro media system (11.4 inches instead of the previous 10 inches) attracts attention. Now it is also possible to update software ‘over the air’. The digital dashboard has also received new graphics, and the restyled Jaguar FX has a wireless charger for the smartphone, next to which there is a joystick instead of a rotating switch. The list of options now includes an interior mirror with a built-in screen, which displays an image from the upper rear-view camera, an air ionizer and an active noise cancellation system.
Powertrain
The manufacturer has removed the modifications with a manual transmission and large 6-cylinder engine. Only an 8-speed automatic transmission is available now. There are no plug-in hybrid versions of the new Jaguar FX. There is an option with a turbocharged gasoline engine (2 L, 250 or 300 hp) and a 2-liter turbocharged diesel engine (204 hp) with a 48-volt starter-generator, a ‘mild’ hybrid.
