Maserati Levante (Levante) is an all-wheel drive crossover from the Italian brand Maserati, which belongs to the Italian-American concern ‘Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’. Maserati’s first premium production crossover. It has been produced since 2016. The first generation of the crossover after 2020 restyling is available in Israel in 2021.

This applies not only to budget representatives of the market but also to premium ones, where the competition is increasing every year. That’s why the Italian brand, famous for its sports cars, decided to launch its first crossover on the market.
Maserati Levante is a new solution for the Italian manufacturer, at the same time, it has all the characteristic features of the brand: uncompromising luxury, a powerful engine range, innovative technologies, all-wheel drive system, and an attractive design.
First generation
Maserati first presented its new crossover at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show as a concept car called the Kubang, and the production model debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016 under the Levante name. The first Maserati Levante was based on the platform of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, but very soon it received a platform from another car of the Italian brand the Ghibli sports sedan. The crossover is equipped with a Q4 all-wheel drive system and a limited-slip differential at the rear for better handling as standard. Also, Maserati Levante is equipped with air suspension, which allows you to change the car’s ground clearance and adaptive shock absorbers. Due to these systems, the car can easily cope with any road conditions.
Exterior
The exterior of the first crossover from Maserati is rather similar to the concept car, but the Levante is more modern, attractive, and dynamic. The car has retained the signature radiator grille, body outline, and the shape of the rear fenders. The design of the headlights was completely revised in comparison with the concept, the Levante has narrower aggressive headlights. Also, they changed the shape of the bumpers and retouched the design of the rims.
Interior

Motors
The crossover was equipped with 3-liter V6 or V8 gasoline and diesel turbo engines. Gasoline engines are V6 with 350 and 430 hp. and V8 with 530 and 580 hp. manufactured by Ferrari. Diesel engines are 250, 275, and 340 hp. manufactured by the Italian company VM Motori. All engines were paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission made by ZF 8HP.
Restyling 2020
The new Maserati Levante is distinguished by an even more formidable appearance and has a more comfortable interior, which allows you to move with the same convenience both in the city and quickly on the highway. This is also facilitated by the excellent characteristics of the crossover. It is faster and even more economical than its predecessor.
The 2020 Levante has received a lot of external decors, which includes various types of transitions in height, aggressive air intakes, chrome inserts, and optics. Inside, the updated crossover boasts an all-leather interior, complete with wood and metal accents. The dashboard received a touchscreen monitor flanked by a pair of deflectors, as well as an analog auxiliary panel with round buttons.
