2017 Mercedes CLS fastback. 3rd generation
Mercedes CLS is a series of luxury mid-size passenger cars that have been produced by the German brand Mercedes-Benz since 2004. It can be presented in fastback or estate bodies. In 2020, Israeli buyers could purchase the third generation of the 2017 Mercedes CLS fastback.
The 4-door coupe-like fastback 2017/2018 is presented in both 4 and 5-seater versions. The rear seats can be either a single backseat or split into two separate seats. It is 4,988 mm long and 1,890 mm wide, offering a wheelbase of 2,939 mm and trunk volume of 520 liters.
Distinctive features
Every inch of the new CLS demonstrates pure elegance. It has a sporty exterior with high sill line, low side windows, two-piece taillights, and wide ‘shoulders’. The front of the car leans forward confidently. Flat headlights emit bright light as well as sporty dominance. The radiator grille is open to the road and ready to conquer it. A striking feature of the front end is the ‘diamond’ radiator grille. Its downward-opening contour makes the car visually wider and more powerful.

Modifications
All-wheel drive versions of the 2020 Mercedes CLS are equipped with gasoline and diesel turbo engines and are complemented by a 9-speed automatic transmission. All engines are capable of a maximum speed of 250 km/h, but the acceleration time to the 100 km/h is different for everyone and is at least 4.8 seconds for a gasoline 3-liter 367-horsepower engine and the maximum is 6.2 seconds. Diesel engines consume a little less fuel, the average consumption per 100 km will be from 5.6 to 5.9 liters.
Trim versions
There are three models of the all-wheel drive fastback on the market. They are CLS 350 4MATIC, CLS 400 4MATIC, and CLS 450 4MATIC. They can be presented in the Elegance or Sport trim versions. All models are equipped with at least seven airbags, central locking, rear camera, cruise control, blind spot monitoring, anti-collision system, ESP stabilization system, and front and rear parking sensors with automatic parking system. There is a leather interior with folding rear seats, modern multimedia, Bluetooth and USB, navigation, audio system. There are Hi-Fi audio, active power steering, climate control, multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters, start-stop system fuel saving in advanced versions.
