The Zibar MK2 is assembled on a unique off-road platform, created by Ido Cohen, an Israeli self-taught genius, the Paris-Dakar rally participant, who says that he is “not an engineer and learned from his own experience”. The 4x4 platform can be easily and quickly transformed to meet the specific needs of each customer, while retaining the possibility of subsequent changes.

Interesting fact

The off-road vehicle is adapted to the harsh environmental conditions, with impressive off-road characteristics, a 4×4 wheel arrangement, a 6.2-liter V8 engine and a reliable automatic transmission, it is perfectly capable of overcoming extremely hostile terrain and solving tasks that require high off-road terrain. The Zibar MK2 has been tested in deserts around the world, at operating temperatures up to 55 degrees Celsius. The wild and unstoppable Zibar overcomes sand dunes, rocky paths, swamps and water!

Why is it so popular in the army? For its unsurpassed functionality, mobility, survivability and maintainability, which allows tactical combat units and special forces to ensure fast deployment and high maneuverability. By the way, the windows of the Zibar MK2 are filmy (you can easily tape them up), the proprietary paint coating is easily painted with a regular spray can and is scratch-resistant, and the vehicle doesn’t have a bumper, so you can park as you want.

From the woman’s point of view, the interior looks exactly like a real man: simple, laconic, powerful and strict as a true military. It features huge pedals, sports steering wheel and racing seats. Perhaps the only thing that reminds of luxury is the quilted upholstery almost like Bentley’s. Surprisingly, among the numerous analog devices and buttons without signatures there is a large and sturdy multimedia system module, which can even display the image from all-round cameras.

Powertrains

Here are more details about the engine and other units of the Zibar MK2. GM’s 6.2-liter engine produces 430 hp and sounds like a real American naturally-aspirated unit. The vehicle with a gross weight of 3,265 kg accelerates to 100 km/h in an impressive 5 seconds! Plus, the maximum speed is an excellent 200 km/h. Huge radiators are used to cool this monster. The air conditioner, designed to operate at +55 degrees (a huge plus for our climate!), literally sticks out from the outside. GM has provided the vehicle not only with the engine, but also other components and assemblies, so there are no repair problems: the Zibar can be repaired in any American car repair shop.

  • 3-speed automatic transmission.

Off-road characteristics

  • Ground clearance: underbridge clearance - 380 mm, underbody clearance - 530 mm;
  • Approach angle: 90°;
  • Departure angle: 40°;
  • Gradient: 60%;
  • Depth of a water obstacle to be overcome: 0.8 m;
  • Vertical obstacle to be overcome: 0.75 m;
  • Trench: 0.8 m

I would definitely drive it to explore the desert and the mountains! Although it would be nice if someone could accompany me on such a trip… But jokes aside! In fact, I am very proud that the unique Zibar MK2 SUV was designed and built in Israel. This vehicle is adapted to the harshest environmental conditions and can satisfy almost all the needs of special anti-terrorist units. The Israeli army has been protecting our state for many decades. And it must have advanced equipment capable of anything.

Do you like the Zibar MK2 the way I like it?
