The 5-door 5-seater crossover 2019 model year has dimensions: length is 4658 mm, width is 1890 mm, height is 1644 mm, wheelbase is 2873 mm, the trunk volume is minimum 550 liters, maximum 1600 liters.

Distinctive features

The Mercedes GLC was updated in 2019 and began to look like its ‘big brother’ GLE. The new crossover has similar headlight contours, which give a harsher look. LED headlights are standard, and matrix headlights are offered for extra pay. The bumpers, radiator grille, taillights, and wheels have changed, and there is a little more chrome on the body.

There is almost the same set of changes inside as in the latest generation of C-class passenger car. There is a new steering wheel with touch-sensitive buttons on the spokes. The list of options includes a 12.3-inch virtual dashboard inscribed in the standard semicircular niches. You can order a 10.25-inch widescreen instead of the standard 7-inch media system screen. The old Comand multimedia system has been replaced by a new MBUX complex with a touch screen, and the ability of voice and gestures control has appeared. A touchpad with tactile feedback is installed now instead of a combined remote control with a washer on the center tunnel. Finally, there is the Energizing function, which synchronizes the control of ‘music’, microclimate, massage, as well as ventilation and heated seats for tone and mood.

On the 2020 Mercedes GLC, you can optionally install the Dynamic Body Control spring suspension with adaptive dampers, which was previously the prerogative of the GLC Coupe. The optional air suspension has also been retained. The complex of electronic assistants has been improved in the updated crossover. The adaptive cruise control now starts by itself after stopping in traffic jam mode, and the system recognizes the tail of the traffic jam in advance using the navigator and smoothly slows down. A parking assistant with a trailer has appeared. A sensor in the tow hitch allows dynamic markings to be projected onto the rear-view camera image.
