2017 Volvo XC40 SUV. 1st generation
Volvo XC40 is a compact SUV produced by Volvo (Sweden) since 2017. It can be both front- and all-wheel drive. The hybrid and all-electric versions are available. In 2020, the first generation of this vehicle could be purchased on the Israeli market.
The 5-door 5-seater SUV is compact in size: length - 4,425 mm, width - 1,863 mm, wheelbase - 2,702 mm. The volume of its trunk ranges from 460 liters (minimum) to 1,336 liters (maximum).
Distinctive features

Modifications
In Israel, the new Volvo XC40 comes in the front and all-wheel drive variations. The SUV is equipped with the turbocharged petrol engines, complemented by an 8-speed automatic transmission. The front-wheel drive models can be equipped with a 1.5-liter 163 hp engine or a 2-liter 190 hp engine. The first one accelerates to 100 km in 9.6 seconds, while the second one does it in 8.4 seconds. Their maximum possible speed is almost the same, amounting to 200 and 210 km/h, respectively. The all-wheel drive SUV is equipped with a 2-liter 247 hp engine that provides a maximum of 230 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km in 6.5 seconds.
Trim levels
Israeli buyers can choose from three trim levels of the 2019/2020 Volvo XC40: Momentum, Momentum Plus and R-Design sports version. The panoramic roof is included in all the trims, but the sunroof, pedal pads and kicking plates, interior lighting, extended options package, decorative moldings and metallic color are only available on the R-Design trim level.
All the trim levels of the new SUV provide at least 8 airbags, alarm and central locking, rear camera, rear parking sensors, cruise control, driving mode selection system, lane departure warning system, collision avoidance system, brake assist, and a traffic sign recognition system.
Such elements as a voice-activated multimedia system, audio system, folding rear seats, tinted windows, a wide range of electric adjustments, heated side mirrors and front seats, 2-zone climate control, start-stop system, keyless access and many other useful options complete the stylish and comfortable 2020 Volvo XC40 SUV.
