Voyah. Era of high-tech solutions
Voyah is a luxury brand of the Chinese automotive giant Dongfeng Motors. The brand was founded in 2020. The name ‘Voyah’ comes from the word ‘voyage’. DFM even opened an engineering center and recruited a separate development team for its subsidiary brand to produce not just expensive models, but the most advanced, electric vehicles based on the latest technological innovations. Italdesign studio develops the appearance of the vehicles. In short, Voyah is a new global market player, opening the next era of high-tech solutions. Luxury electric vehicles of the brand are created for those who always want more, for true innovators and future-oriented people.
A huge plant in Wuhan has been reequipped to produce electric vehicles: the capacity of the assembly site has been increased from 110,000 to 150,000 vehicles per year. The new brand will have its own business model based on modern communication technologies and car sharing. The company already has its own logo, while the original sales program is on the way. Voyah models are based on a separate ESSA (Electric Smart Secure Architecture) modular platform, which has a traditional structure: electric motors on each axle, a traction battery under the floor. There is also a level 3 autopilot. In addition, the platform will allow building not only electric vehicles, but also plug-in hybrids.

At the beginning of 2023, the Chinese premium electric vehicle brand can offer three models: the Voyah Free SUV, the Voyah Dreamer minivan and the Voyah Chasing Light sedan. All of them look stylish and are richly equipped. There are electric versions, as well as plug-in sequential hybrids that use an internal combustion engine as a generator to recharge the battery. Subsequently, Dongfeng promises to release one new Voyah model every year.

Voyah Free
The Voyah Free is a full-size, all-wheel drive premium electric or hybrid SUV introduced in December 2020. At the time of release, it was considered the world’s most powerful electric SUV with a gasoline generator on board. The stylish vehicle has been compared to a magnetic express train due to its adjustable air suspension that ensures a smooth ride. The SUV owes its expensive and solid appearance to Italdesign. A purely electric version of the Voyah Free is equipped with a pair of motors with a total output of 680 hp and 1,000 Nm. The plug-in sequential hybrid features the same electric motor and a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine.
Voyah Dreamer
The Voyah Dreamer is a premium four-wheel drive, 4- or 7-seater minivan produced from spring 2022. The manufacturer created this model for eco-friendly and comfortable business and personal trips, which is why the minivan is hybrid or fully electric. The Dreamer is not just outstanding, it is truly luxurious and technologically advanced. Representatives of Voyah believe that the vehicle is able to ‘start a new era of electric minivans’. Even its name ‘Dreamer’ speaks for itself.
Voyah Chasing Light
The Voyah Chasing Light is full-size sedan with a length of just over five meters, introduced in 2022. It has received active aerodynamics: an electric spoiler can provide downforce in the range of 40 kg. The twin-engine powertrain includes two electric motors with a total output of 510 hp and 750 Nm. The sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. There are two traction battery options with a capacity of 82 and 109 kWh, offering a driving range of 580 or 730 km, respectively. It will take you 10 minutes to replenish a driving range up to 230 km using a fast charger. The model has an original autonomous driving system, a parking assistant with memory function and a remote control function. One of the top Qualcomm 8155 processors is responsible for operation handling.
