Sedan Audi А3. The 3rd-generation restyling 2016
The car has been produced since 2016. After the restyling, The Audi A3 Sedan has become more comfortable and safe. As a real family sedan, the car has excellent functionality. The rear back seat conventionally folds 40:60, and the baggage compartment volume of the new Sedan A3 is 425/880 L. Availability of equipment sets, engines, and transmission options allows creating the unique model configuration. The exterior design of the new Audi A3 sedan has a wide sideline with an emphasis on a sports coupe, and voluminous fenders with wide wheel arches and xenon headlights perfectly complete the dynamic look. The sedan is 145 mm longer than a Sportback version, slightly larger in width but a little smaller in height. The automobile can be equipped with 16 (standard), 17, and 18-inch rims.
Engines
The Audi A3 sedan is available in two variants to Israel: 40 TFSI and 35 TFSI. The Audi A3 40 TFSI has a 2-L 4-cylinder gasoline engine with direct injection and turbocharging. Audi A3 35 TFSI has a 1.5-L 4-cylinder gasoline engine with direct injection and turbocharging. Both engines have high efficiency and performance. Both are equipped with a 7-speed S-tronic automatic manual transmission. Acceleration is from 0 to 100 mph – 40 TFSI with 6.8 sec, 35 TFSI with 8.2 sec.
Trim versions
There is a multi-service touchscreen, MMI Radio plus multimedia system with 8 speakers, and the Bluetooth interface for connecting a mobile phone in the standard trim version of the Audi A3 sedan. There are also electrically adjustable exterior mirrors, heated and folding side mirrors, an automatic start and stop system. In the interior, you will find not only air conditioning but also an automatic climate control system with division into 2 control zones. The standard includes a 3-lever sports steering wheel with multimedia controls and leather shift paddles. Xenon headlights and front lights, rear fog lights, daytime running light function, light and rain sensors, tire pressure drop indicator, and a full-size spare wheel are also in the standard version!
Safety
The safety of the restyled Audi A3 Sedan 3rd generation is really nicely engineered and implemented in detail. The equipment of the Audi A3 includes the following standard safety systems: front, front side, and head, and the driver's knee airbag - a total of 7; the ABS and the EBD systems, an auxiliary braking system, an electronic stability control, a forward distance control, Audi Front Assist automatic emergency braking, and Active Lane Assist to determine the route using an advanced camera. And again, all this is the standard version of the car! Optionally, adaptive cruise control and Side Assist can be chosen to deal with blind spots on the sides of the vehicle, detect vehicles in the rear and sides, and alert the driver with a flashing LED on the mirror.
Options
Optionally, the car can be equipped with the Audi drive select system (ADS) for driving mode selection, dynamics, and driving comfort, as well as adaptive dampers, sports suspension, and progressive steering. For the first time, a traffic jam assistant is available as an option for all Audi A3 models, which is used in conjunction with adaptive cruise control with Stop&Go function. Another new option of the Audi A3 family is the Emergency Stop Assistant. If a potential collision is detected or there is no steering wheel movement, the system will warn the driver and – if the driver ignores warnings – provide braking until the vehicle comes to a full stop.
