Audi Q6 E-Tron. When it comes tomorrow will come
Despite being late for the electric vehicle ‘party’, Audi is now working hard to catch up. It has already released new electric models E-Tron GT, Q4 E-Tron and Q4 Sportback E-Tron, with the Q6 E-Tron on the way. The new model will appear in 2022 and will be based on the latest PPE platform developed in collaboration with Porsche. The latter will have its own, albeit related, model, the next generation Porsche Macan, which will become an electric vehicle.
Israeli market offers a new Audi E-Tron 55 e quattro with a motor producing 360 hp and a 95 kWh battery. The all-wheel drive electric SUV is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds, with a maximum speed of 200 km/h. The maximum driving range reaches 379 km.
The upcoming 2022/2023 Audi Q6 E-Tron electric SUV is similar in size to the Audi Q5, but the interior will get more spacious, like the Q7. The new PPE platform features 350 kW charging support, air suspension, steerable rear wheels and torque vectoring. None of this can be found in any of the models created on the current MEB platform: Q4 E-Tron, VW ID.4, Skoda Enyaq. A fully charged battery in the entry-level version should be enough for more than 480 km, which is quite good. According to preliminary data, it can get a more powerful traction battery of 100 kWh, in which case the maximum driving range will be equal to 700 km.
As for the Q5, Audi will keep it in its model range for some time, releasing it in parallel with the new vehicle. There are already rumors of a Q6 Sportback E-Tron and even an RS Q6 E-Tron with around 600 hp and an incredible torque of 830 Nm, which will be distributed to both axles thanks to the Quattro AWD. But so far these are only rumors.
