Chery Tiggo 7 Pro SUV. 2021 version
The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is a second generation version of the Tiggo 7 SUV, equipped with a powerful 1.6-liter engine with 197 hp. The Tiggo 7 itself is a very popular front-wheel-drive compact SUV that first appeared in 2019. At the end of 2022, the new Chery Tiggo 7 Pro will be available in Israel.
Carso Motors, the importer of Renault, Nissan, Dacia and Infiniti, will supply models from the Chinese company Chery to Israel. Unlike other Chinese brands that have entered the Israeli market with their electric cars in recent years, Chery models will initially be sold with gasoline engines.
Exterior
The new Chery Tiggo 7 Pro differs from the Tiggo 7 without Pro in a different grille pattern. At first, it featured unevenly distributed ‘dots’, resembling the Chery emblem. After the August 2021 update, the vehicle gained a more open and elegant radiator grille filling option, resulting in a light and playful mesh. After restyling, the compact SUV has become noticeably bigger: 68 mm longer (up to 4,500 mm), 5 mm wider (up to 1,842 mm), 8 cm higher (up to 1,746 mm). The wheelbase was initially 2,670 mm, then was increased by another 20 mm.
Interior
The interior of the 2021/2022 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro features a new design: the vehicle has gained a digital dashboard, a touch-sensitive air conditioning unit with two rotary knobs and a non-fixed transmission selector. There are three color options for interior decoration. The SUV will please with leather, albeit artificial, trim and a rich list of equipment: a digital instrument panel on a 10.25-inch screen, a multimedia system with a 12.3-inch screen and a control vocal. There is a wireless charger, air conditioning, electric tailgate, panoramic camera, etc.
Engines and equipment
As expected, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, which will be offered in Israel, comes with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine developed by the company and equipped with a turbocharger and direct fuel injection. The miracle unit produces 197 hp and works with a 7-speed dual-clutch robotic gearbox. The model is front-wheel drive only.
