DS 7 Crossback crossover. 1st generation 2017
DS 7 Crossback is a compact luxury crossover SUV that occupies the flagship position of French brand DS, part of PSA Peugeot Citroën, produced since 2017. There are petrol, diesel and hybrid models. In 2020, the first generation of this luxury crossover was available on the Israeli market.
The 5-door 5-seat crossover DS 7 Crossback 2017/2018 is a full-fledged player of the compact family. It is 4573 mm in length, 1906 mm in width, and 1625 mm in height. The wheelbase of the car reaches 2738 mm. The volume of the luggage compartment is 555 liters.
Distinctive features
New DS 7 Crossback is handsome, graceful, and sporty. The front of the car is decorated with a hexagonal shield of the radiator grille and cold LED headlights. Behind, there are spectacular lanterns and a neat bumper with two large exhaust pipes. Sideways, premium crossover boasts sporty outlines: a smoothly sloping roof and raised folds on the sidewalls. It gives dynamics. Impressive flourishes of the wheel arches add solidity.
The interior of the new DS 7 impresses with its stunning design and high-quality finishing materials, including expensive Nappa leather, Alcantara, precious woods, and aluminum. The main emphasis in the cabin is made on the 12-inch screen of the multimedia system that occupies the entire center console. Control of majority secondary functions is concentrated. The second display with a diagonal of 7 inches is installed, and in front of it is a multifunction steering wheel with a developed relief and a rim truncated at the bottom. A luxury item inside is a mechanical Breguet watch, deliberately sticking out above the front panel.
Modifications
Gasoline and diesel crossover models are supplied to Israel. Both are front-drive. A 1.6-liter petrol turbo engine with 180 hp allows reaching a speed of 220 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.2 seconds. A diesel one with a volume of 2 liters and a capacity of 180 hp lags behind in dynamics, but it consumes much less fuel – 4.9 liters per 100 km compared to 5.9 liters for the gasoline version. Both engines are complemented by an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Trim versions
For Israeli buyers of the 2019/2020 DS 7 Crossback three trim versions are available: Grand Chic, So Chic DS PERFORMANCE Line and So Chic DS RIVOLI. All models are luxurious! There are panoramic roof and sunroof, two-tone body, LED headlights, pedals and sills, a folding rear seat, an extended package of electric adjustments, hands-free opening of the trunk, an interior trimmed in Alcantara, heated front seats, active power steering, and 3-zone climate control. All are equipped with active suspension and stowage.
Grand Chic top version is equipped with massage and ventilation for front seats, heated windshield, tinted glass, and interior lighting, a 360-degree camera, and a driver fatigue detection system.
All configurations of DS 7 Crossback 2020 include adaptive cruise control, front and back parking sensors with automatic parking, driving mode selection, collision avoidance system, traction control system, blind-spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, and brake assist system.
There is modern multimedia with support for Carplay and Android Auto, with voice control and remote control via smartphone, navigation, and an audio system in the cabin. There is keyless access, start/stop button, start-stop technology, and so on.
