Update:

In the fall of 2020, the car underwent a planned restyling, resulting in productivity gain.

Hyundai i30 N is a sporty version of the Hyundai i30, a compact C-class passenger car from the South Korean car manufacturer, Hyundai Motor, produced since 2017. In 2020, Israeli buyers had a chance to buy the 2017 first generation Hyundai i30 N 5-Door Hatchback.

Hyundai i30 N is a real hot hatch. The N letter shows that the car belongs to the sports class and symbolizes a chicane, a serpentine curve in a road used in motor racing. The N brand name on the radiator grille, on the seats and on the red brake calipers is a discreet indication that the Hyundai i30N belongs to a select circle of cars that have hot blood in their veins.

The first generation

The first i30 N was developed under the leadership of former BMW President, Albert Biermann. The task was to create a car that could be interesting in terms of driving possibilities, as well as accessibility and performance. Differing from the standard i30, the i30 N boasts massive aero parts, two-forked muffler, a 4 mm lower ground clearance and 18 or 19-inch rims. The 2018/2019 Hyundai i30 N is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine producing 250 hp (basic version) and a torque of 353 Nm. When Performance Pack options are chosen, the output rises to 275 hp, but the torque remains the same. If the basic version is chosen, the sports car accelerates to ‘one hundred’ in 6.4 seconds. With Performance Pack, it occurs in 6.1 seconds.

The N element, symbolizing the chicane in motor racing, a serpentine curve in the road, is attached to the radiator grille, the seats and the red brake calipers and is a discreet indication that the Hyundai i30 N belongs to the select circle of cars that have hot blood in their veins.

The i30 N chassis is also more upgraded than the standard i30. The hot hatch now has an adaptive suspension and automatic differential brake. The driver will be able to choose between several driving modes: Eco, Normal, Sport, N and N Custom. In addition to the suspension, these settings have an effect on the operation of the engine and stabilization system, as well as the exhaust sound.

Distinctive features

Yes! The 2020 Hyundai i30 N is equipped with an Electronic Sound Generator, a sound system that simulates the aggressive sound of an engine. The soundscape consisting of crackling, claps and roar is superb and does not resemble to a synthetic phonogram.

The interior of the new Hyundai i30 N has sporty seats with lateral support and a special steering wheel, as well as a multimedia system with a 5- or 8-inch screen, which can display useful information for the driver. Despite their bold driver’s shape, anatomical sporty front seats are infinitely comfortable and are quite suitable for both everyday driving and for long journeys.

Delicate aero parts, such original details as a triangular brake light under the rear spoiler, and beautiful 18 or 19-inch wheels complete the image of the 2020 Hyundai i30 N sporty hatchback.
