Land Rover Discovery is an all-wheel drive SUV produced by the British automobile maker, Land Rover, since 1989. In 2020, the 2016 fifth generation Land Rover Discovery 5-Door SUV was available on the Israeli market.
The 2017/2018 Land Rover Discovery 5-Door 7-Seater SUV is 4,970 mm long, 2,073 mm wide, 1,888 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2,923 mm. The trunk volume varies from 1,231 (min) to 2,500 liters (max).
Exterior
The 2016/2017 Discovery boasts beautiful proportions and a powerful, athletic body. A powerful and expressive front face with a short overhang, a smooth windshield, a rising mean line of the body, and an elegant, tapered rear end create a dynamic look that perfectly matches the unmatched performance and modern character of the Land Rover Discovery. At the same time, the clear roofline, mid and lower body lines that rise to the rear of the vehicle make the new Discovery easily recognizable.
Modifications
There are two turbocharged diesel engines of the new Discovery in Israel: a conventional 2.0-liter engine producing 240 hp and a 3.0-liter V6 engine producing 306 hp. Both of them are complemented by an 8-speed automatic transmission. Both engine can provide approximately the same maximum speed of 207-209 km/h. And their average fuel consumption is practically the same, amounting to 7.5-7.7 liters per 100 km. But the second engine is more powerful and responsive.
Trim versions
Several SUV trim versions of the 2018/2019 Land Rover Discovery are offered to Israeli buyers. The SE trim offers a 240 hp engine modification, while the SE, HSE and HSE Luxury trims offer a 306 hp engine. The HSE and HSE Luxury models are equipped with a sunroof, panoramic roof, kicking plates and an extended list of options. All 2020 Discovery models delivered to Israel feature LED headlights, air suspension, a full-size spare wheel, leather interior, folding rear seats, a sun blind on the rear window and tinted windows.
All 2020 Discovery trims provide at least 8 airbags, central locking, rear camera, rear and front parking sensors, cruise control or adaptive cruise control, ABS and ASR, lane control, driver fatigue sensor, hill start assist, automatic brake assist, collision avoidance system, stabilization system and steering stabilizer system.
All trim versions of the new 2020 Land Rover Discovery incorporate a multimedia system suitable for Android Auto, Carplay, Bluetooth, USB, with a possibility of controlling by voice command and via a smartphone, an audio system, multi-zone or 2-zone climate control, a multifunctional steering wheel, paddle shifters, electric folding mirrors and electric trunk lid and many other useful options.
