Land Rover Discovery Sport is a SUV produced by the British automobile maker, Land Rover, since 2014. Both all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive versions are available. In 2020, the Israeli market offered the first generation Land Rover Discovery Sport 5-Door SUV, which underwent restyling in 2019.
The 2019/2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport 5-Door 5- or 7-Seater SUV is 4,597 mm long, 2,069 mm wide, 1,727 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2,741 mm. The trunk volume varies from 980 liters (min) to 1,771 liters (max).
Exterior and interior
Discovery Sport is distinguished by an elegant silhouette, perfectly balanced proportions and distinctive design features. The impressive exterior design continues with the interior, where bold horizontal and vertical lines are combined with smooth panel surfaces, premium finishes and optional premium leather. All of this, combined with the true spirit of the Land Rover brand, adds a touch of luxury to the interior that complements the interior’s undeniable versatility.
Modifications
Two petrol and one turbo diesel engine options of the new four-wheel drive Discovery Sport are available in Israel. All engines are complemented by a 9-speed automatic transmission. The 2-liter petrol engines have different power: 200 and 249 hp, and accordingly, slightly different dynamics: the first engine accelerates the vehicle to 207 km/h, the second engine provides 224 km/h. However, their average fuel consumption is practically the same: 7.9-8 liters per 100 km. The 2-liter 180 hp diesel engine provides 201 km/h, but it also consumes only 5.7 liters per 100 km.
Trim versions
Two trim versions of the 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport SUV are offered to Israeli buyers. The S Plus trim offers the diesel engine modification, while the S and S Plus versions provide the petrol engine modifications. All models are equipped with LED headlights, a panoramic roof, interior lighting, a third row seats, a sun blind on the rear window and a leather interior.
All the 2020 Discovery Sport’s trims provide 7 airbags, central locking, rear camera, rear and front parking sensors, cruise control or adaptive cruise control, ABS and ASR, lane control, driver fatigue sensor, hill descent and hill start assist, brake assist, collision avoidance system, stabilization system and steering stabilizer system.
The 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport is equipped with a modern multimedia system suitable for Carplay, Bluetooth, USB and voice control, audio system, active power steering, heated side mirrors, 2-zone climate control, multifunction steering wheel, paddle shifters, electrically folding mirrors and many other useful options.
