Tesla Model S and Model X in Israel. Now two configurations
Starting in 2023, the Israeli market will offer Tesla’s two top models, the Tesla Model S and Tesla Model X, in several configurations. Now each model will have two configurations. This means that it will become a little easier to enter the world of the future: the entry-level configurations cost less than the top-end ones. In terms of speed characteristics and range, they are almost in no way inferior to their more expensive “siblings”. In 2023, the cost of Model S and Model X in Israel now starts at 740,000 or 777,000 shekels, respectively.
Here we have compiled a rating of the coolest electric vehicles, which are not only powerful, fast and technically advanced, but, more importantly, they are mass-produced, sold and quite affordable for purchase.
Tesla Model S
The Tesla Model S electric liftback is one of the best-selling premium electric sedans in the world. According to the results of NHTSA crash tests, the car consistently earns 5 stars in all categories and is confidently among the top ten most popular electric vehicles in the world. Consumer Reports called it ‘the best CR car ever tested’. The 5-door 5-seater liftback is 4,970 mm long, 1,964 mm wide and 1,435 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,960 mm. The trunk volume reaches 793 liters.
In 2022, the Tesla Model S was offered on our market only in its top modification: a three-motor all-wheel drive version, the Tri motor Plaid with a capacity of 1,020 hp. Such a liftback accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds, while the maximum speed is 322 km/h. According to the company, this is the fastest mass-produced electric car in the world. A battery with a capacity of 100 kWh gives a driving range of about 600 km. In 2023, the price starts at 825,418 shekels.
In 2023, our market will offer an entry-level electric liftback in the Dual motor modification: with a twin-engine all-wheel drive powertrain with a capacity of 670 hp. Acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h occurs in 3.2 seconds, while the top speed is 250 km/h. The driving range is 634 km (according to the American EPA cycle). In 2023, the price of the entry-level version starts from 738,452 shekels.
Tesla Model Х
The Tesla Model X full-size electric SUV is billed by Tesla as ‘the safest SUV ever’ and a family travel vehicle: it can tow a trailer weighing more than two tons and comes standard with a towing package that includes a towing hook. The SUV can be 5, 6 or 7-seater, at the request of the buyer.
The third row seats fold down to a flat floor and increase luggage space. In addition, an additional trunk is located in front under the hood. Access to the rear seats is through doors that open upwards, called ‘falcon wings’. The 5-door 7-seater SUV is 5,004 mm long, 2,083 mm wide and 1,626 mm high, with a wheelbase of 3,061 mm. The maximum trunk volume is 2,577 liters.
In 2022, the Tri motor Plaid with a capacity of 1,020 hp was delivered to us. This version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds, developing a maximum speed of 262 km/h. The battery with a capacity of 100 kWh allows you to drive about 543 km on a single charge. It is only available in 6-seater version. In 2023, the cost of the top modification will start from 848,590 shekels.
In 2023, our market will offer a Tesla Model X Dual motor Long Range modification with a capacity of 670 hp with a battery with a capacity of 100 kWh. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h occurs in 3.9 seconds, the top speed is 250 km/h. The range is 576 km. In 2023, the entry-level 5-seater version costs from 777,118 shekels. A 7-seater version will cost 805,000 shekels, and if you choose a 6-seater version with two separate ‘captain’s’ seats in the second row, you will part with the amount of 828,315 shekels (which is almost comparable to the price of the top 6-seater Plaid).
Equipment
All versions of the 2023 Tesla Model X and Tesla Model S come standard with a 17-inch touchscreen multimedia system, as well as an additional 8-inch touchscreen display for second-row passengers, which is located between the backs of the front seats. Another 12.3-inch screen is installed in front of the driver and displays instrument readings. There are two wireless chargers for smartphones and USB-C sockets in the niche under the center console.
