Mazda 6 Sedan. The third generation, restyling. Released since 2017

The 3rd generation Mazda 6, a front-wheel drive Japanese D-class car, was released in 2012. Its restyled sedan version of 2017 is currently available on the Israeli market.

Distinctive features

The restyled 2018/2019 Mazda 6 Sedan is maximally close to the premium segment. Its exterior has not undergone significant changes, but its interior now looks more energetic and optimistic. The new ‘sixth’ Mazda is equipped with a large false radiator shield, revised head optics with a slightly different configuration of lighting technology, combining not only low and high beam, but also foglights, a modified front bumper, the side niches of which have a different shape, and the narrower central opening of the air intake.

Interior

The interior of the 2018 Mazda 6 can boast of having even more innovations: a new dashboard, a 7-inch digital display with painted dials (for top-end trims), a 8-inch multimedia system screen, new wide first-row seats, a head-up display with a new data transmission format (the image is displayed on the windshield, and not on a special screen), a modified climate control unit, and a new steering wheel. The options now include all-round cameras and adaptive cruise control with stop & go function.

Modifications

In the Israeli market, the Mazda 6 Sedan is available with two petrol engine options: a 2-liter engine with 165 hp and a 2.5-liter engine with 195 hp. The first one accelerates the car to 209 km/h, the second one provides a speed of up to 223 km/h. Both of them are equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Trim versions

Israeli buyers can choose from three trim versions of the ‘sixth’ Mazda: Luxury, Premium and Signature. All of the trim versions of the Mazda 6 provide excellent visibility not only with one rear camera, but with a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, a choice of different driving modes, driver fatigue sensor, lane control and traffic sign recognition, and a collision avoidance system. The 2-zone climate control, navigation, voice control, sunroof, folding rear seat, electric seat adjustment with a memory function, leather interior, a full set of front and rear parking sensors, and an automatic parking system are also included in the trims.

The Mazda 6 Premium and Signature trim versions boast even greater luxury inside, tinted windows, sun blinds on the rear window and seat ventilation, which is important for our climate, an even larger set of driver assistance systems, R19 wheels, and the Signature also has decorative interior lighting.
