Mercedes-Benz Vito. 3rd generation, 2018 restyling
The Mercedes-Benz Vito is a light-duty van or passenger minivan produced since 1996. This roomy, comfortable, safe and maneuverable vehicle faithfully serves its owners and can handle almost everything. The third generation Vito was introduced back in 2014, and since then more than 450,000 of these light-duty vans and passenger minivans have been produced. But the new generation has not yet followed. The next 2018 restyling has given the vehicle more environmentally friendly engines and new electronic assistants.
In 2021, the manufacturer introduced the new Mercedes-Benz e Vito, the two versions of which are currently offered in Israel. The Tourer passenger minivan is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 204 hp and a battery with a capacity of 66 kWh, allowing you to drive up to 420 km. The e Vito cargo van features the same battery and a 116 hp electric motor, while the driving range is 310 km. You can choose a regular or longer version (as of 2022).
Versions
We remind you that the new Mercedes-Benz Vito is offered in three configurations: a cargo van, a cargo-passenger version Mixto and a passenger minivan Vito Tourer. All vehicles have a maximum permitted weight of the transported cargo up to 3,200 kg.
Vito Van

- The long and extra-long versions can accommodate up to three Euro pallets; loading is carried out from the rear and through the sliding door

Vito Mixto

- Enough space for three passengers in the passenger compartment and one Euro pallet in the cargo area

Vito Tourer
- Depending on the seating layout, the vehicle can accommodate up to 9 people, 2-2-3 seating layout with three rows of seats in the passenger compartment (option)
- A sliding door on the left side (option)
- The cargo floor with eyelets for securing cargo
Exterior
The exterior changes are minor and concern mainly optics: the rear lights have a new pattern. The number of body colors has been increased, and expensive passenger versions now have beautiful 19-inch wheels.
Interior and equipment
The new Mercedes-Benz Vito features fresh electronic safety systems: emergency braking and crosswind assist systems are standard. Now, the built-in software allows the vehicle to share (for example, with the fleet operator) information about the current location, technical condition and many other parameters (option). In return, the operator will be able to remotely inform the driver about new order points, which are immediately displayed on the screen in the cab.
Powertrains
The Vito was the first commercial Mercedes-Benz light-duty vehicle to receive a new 4-cylinder diesel engine (OM654 series) that meets the latest Euro-6 environmental standards. It was installed instead of the previous OM651 unit on rear- and all-wheel drive versions. The output is the same 136, 163 and 190 hp (depending on trim level). With the new engine, a new 9-speed automatic gearbox has replaced the previous 7-speed gearbox. The front-wheel drive vehicles come with 1.6-liter diesel engines with manual gearboxes.
