Nissan GT-R 2023. Bodywork, Exterior. Coupe, 1 generation, restyling 4

The Nissan GT-R is a sports coupe that evolved from the GT-R version of the legendary Skyline model in 2007. The car that has been on the market for 16 years and has already been restyled three times without changing a generation. However, in 2023, it was restyled for the fourth time: the restyled Nissan GT-R was presented once again at the Tokyo Motor Show in January. The magnificent supercar has a 3.8-liter turbocharged engine, all-wheel drive and a tendency towards ‘self-development’: in the course of past modernizations, engine power has increased from 480 to 570 hp (for the entry-level version). The restyled car will go on sale in the spring of 2023, and the top models, modified by the Nismo studio, will go to showrooms in the summer. Prices have not yet been annonced.

The Israeli market offers the new Nissan GT-R in the 2016 restyled version. The price for an all-wheel drive sports coupe with a powerful V6 turbocharged engine with 570 hp, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds starts from 884,787 shekels (as of the end of 2022).

Important

Exterior

The new restyled version is distinguished by its front end. The front bumper has been redesigned. The crossbar dividing the grille into upper and lower parts has been painted in body color, the mesh in the grille has become thinner, which helps improve cooling and reduce air resistance. A rear spoiler on the trunk lid has a new shape, and the four exhaust pipes have been redesigned. Nissan claims that the updated bodywork has more downforce, while the drag coefficient remains the same: 0.26 Cd.

Interior

Another upgrade has touched the sound insulation, which has become better. The coupe has become a little quieter and has fewer vibrations.

Powertrains

Nissan. Engine.

The restyled Nissan GT-R 2023 comes with the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that has been used by the car since the 2020 model year. The entry-level version produces 570 hp and 637 Nm, the top-end version offers 600 hp and 652 Nm. The engines are paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch robotic gearbox and all-wheel drive ATTESA ET-S. This system can change the distribution of torque between the front and rear wheels depending on driving conditions. The car has received Bilstein DampTronic adjustable dampers, Brembo brakes and 20-inch RAYS wheels.

Nismo version

The top-end Nissan GT-R Nismo 2023 has received a modernized body that includes a carbon roof and fenders, a new splitter, a new diffuser and other improvements, complemented by wider tires and carbon-ceramic turbochargers from the Nissan GT3 race car. Thanks to all this, the supercar has become more powerful and high-torque. The front self-locking differential has been added to the rear one. Of special note is a rear spoiler on the trunk lid, which has become even more massive and higher. The car comes with new carbon fiber seats. The Premium Edition T-spec version, which expanded the model range in the summer of 2021, has received a more luxurious interior finishing and carbon-ceramic brakes, while restyling brought more comfortable suspension settings.

Isn’t it time for a new generation of the Nissan GT-R?
