Range Rover Velar is a mid-size four-wheel drive luxury SUV from the British automobile maker, Land Rover, produced since 2017. In 2020, the 2017 first generation Range Rover Velar 5-Door SUV was available on the Israeli market.
The first generation
As for its size, the Range Rover Velar is between the Evoque and Range Rover Sport. Built on the Jaguar F-Pace SUV platform, the Velar is the most aerodynamical Range Rover ever, with an aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.32. In addition to the platform itself, the Velar shares a set of power trains with the Jaguars. Thanks to the air suspension, first combined with the F-Pace platform, the Velar can be lifted by 251 millimeters with a standard ground clearance of 213 millimeters. By the way, the new SUV can easily overcome fords 650 millimeters deep. So, despite its glamorous looks, it’s still a Range Rover!
