Toyota Aygo Hatchback. 2nd generation, 2018 restyling
Toyota Aygo is a compact front-wheel drive A-class city car created by Toyota (Japan) and PSA Peugeot Citroën (France). The Aygo has been produced since 2005 at the joint Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile Czech plant in the Czech Republic. The second generation Toyota Aygo 5-Door Hatchback, which underwent restyling in 2018, is available on the Israeli market.
The new Aygo is truly compact in size, being only 3,465 mm long and 1,615 mm wide. It has a small trunk of 168 liters and a clearance of 118 mm. This is a real city car, very convenient both for narrow streets and for parking!
Exterior and interior
After the restyling in 2018, the hatchback has an even more accentuated X-shaped front face. There are contrasting inserts under the optics and more massive diagonal ‘crossbars’ on the sides of the false grille. The 2018 Aygo headlights feature new front and rear LEDs. The interior has better noise insulation and an expanded choice of finishes, and the dashboard boasts new graphics and more lighting options.
Modifications
In Israel, the new Aygo comes with a 1.0-liter petrol engine that produces 72 hp. At the same time, it can easily provide the maximum speed of 160 km/h. This engine can be called ‘fuel-efficient’, as it only consumes an average of 4.2 liters per 100 km, and even less on the highway - 3.8 liters. The Aygo engine is equipped with a 5-speed semi-automatic transmission.
Trim versions
Three trim levels of the 2018/2019 Toyota Aygo are available for Israeli buyers. The driver’s will feel more confident with at least 6 airbags, a tire pressure sensor, a front-mounted and rear-mounted child seat attachment system, an anti-theft system with immobilizer and central locking. Electrically operated steering wheel and leather-covered power steering, paddle shifters, power mirrors, a voice-controlled multimedia system suitable for Bluetooth, Android Auto and Carplay (except for Aygo-X), and air conditioning make the new Aygo more comfortable.
And all sorts of electronic assistants such as lane departure warning system, traffic sign recognition system, collision avoidance system, brake assist and even hill start assist make sure that it is pleasant and safe to drive the new 2018 Toyota Aygo.
