2018 Toyota Corolla Estate. 12th generation
Toyota Corolla is a C-class car produced by Toyota (Japan) since 1966. It has entered the Guinness World Records as the best-selling car in the world. In 2020, the 12th generation Toyota Corolla, released in 2018, could be purchased on the Israeli market as a front-wheel drive sedan, a front-wheel drive 5-door estate or a front-wheel drive 5-door hatchback.
Distinctive features
The 2018/2019 Toyota Corolla 5-Door Estate has a very eye-catching design, a comfortable modern interior, a spacious trunk and acceptable technical characteristics. The Corolla Estate is similar to its ‘brothers’, the sedan and the hatchback, with a large number of branded details, recognizable headlights, a huge air intake system, a wavelike relief and much more. The estate is 4,650 mm long and 1,790 mm wide, and has a 471-liter trunk.
Modifications
In Israel, the new Toyota Corolla Estate comes with a 122 hp hybrid engine, but with two modifications that have different volumes and degrees of compression. The engine can accelerate the car to 180 km/h and consumes, on average, only 3.2 to 3.4 liters per 100 km. It is equipped with an infinitely variable transmission.
Trim levels
Israeli buyers can choose from two trim levels of the Corolla Estate: Space and Space +, one for each engine modification.
It is great that both trim levels are equipped with an almost complete set of electronic ‘assistants’, including a driving mode selection system, driver fatigue sensor, lane departure warning system and blind spot monitoring system, collision avoidance system and traffic sign recognition system, brake assist, hill start assist and hill descent control. Plus, the new 2019 Toyota Corolla Estate on any trim level has the adaptive cruise control, sun blinds in the rear doors (the Space+ trim comprises tinted glasses), 2-zone climate control, active power steering, electric folding mirrors, leather steering wheel, and almost a complete set of airbags, except for window ones.
