Toyota RAV4 SUV. 5th generation. Released since 2018

Toyota RAV4 is a compact SUV produced by Toyota (Japan) since 1994. It can be both front and all-wheel drive. Since 2018, Israeli buyers can purchase the latest, fifth generation of the popular 5-door Toyota RAV4 SUV that is even equipped with a hybrid system.

The 2018/2019 Toyota RAV4 5-Door 5-Seater SUV is compact in size: 4,600 mm long, 1,855 mm wide, with a wheelbase of 2,690 mm. The trunk volume ranges from 580 liters (minimum) to 1,189 liters with the rear row seats folded down.

Distinctive features

The fifth generation Toyota RAV4 debuted in March 2018. Its sales started in mid-2019. The fifth generation Toyota RAV4 is equipped with the new Dynamic Force petrol engines, which provide better combustion of the fuel-air mixture. Throughout the operating revolution range, the Dynamic Force series engines provide increased power, better responsiveness and lower fuel consumption.

Modifications

Israeli buyers can choose from 9 options of the new RAV4 SUV, depending on the type of engine, front or all-wheel drive version and trim level. In Israel, the 2018/2019 Toyota RAV4 comes with either a petrol engine or two modifications of a hybrid engine. A M2OA-FKS petrol engine with 175 hp is suitable for both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive RAV4 models. The maximum speed provided by this engine is 190 km/h. However, the front-wheel drive model consumes, on average, 5.5 liters per 100 km, while the all-wheel drive model consumes 5.9 liters per 100 km. The hybrid system comes in two variations: 218 hp and 222 hp. The first one is suitable for the front-wheel drive model, the second one can be installed on the 4×4 model. Both engines can accelerate to 180 km/h. Their average fuel consumption is 4.4-4.5 liters per 100 km.

Trim levels

In Israel, the 2019/2020 Toyota RAV4 is available on the following trim levels: Extreme, Experience, E-motion and E-motion Sky, E-volve, E-xlusive and E-xperience. But, in fact, the Extreme or Experience trims are suitable for the petrol front-wheel drive SUVs, the Experience trim - for the petrol all-wheel drive models only, the E-motion, E-motion Sky or E-volve trims - for the hybrid front-wheel drive models, and the E-xlusive or E-xperience trims - for the hybrid all-wheel drive models. What do these trim levels have in common?

A full package of airbags, except for the rear side airbags, tire pressure sensor, immobilizer, central locking, rear view camera, adaptive cruise control, ABS and ASR, driving mode selection system, driver fatigue sensor, lane departure warning system, collision avoidance system, traffic sign recognition system, brake assist and hill start assist. Tinted glass widows, 2-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors (except for the E-volve trim), electrically folding mirrors and even power trunk lid (except for the E-volve trim) make the driving of the new 2020 Toyota RAV4 SUV even more comfortable.

And if you want a sunroof and a panoramic roof, choose the Toyota RAV4 4×4 Hyb E-xlusive or the front-wheel drive RAV4 Hyb E-motion Sky, or the petrol front-wheel drive RAV4 175 Gas Extreme.
