2017 Volvo XC60 SUV. 2nd generation
Volvo XC60 is a bold mid-size SUV produced by Volvo Cars (Sweden) since 2008. It can be both front- and all-wheel drive. The hybrid versions are available. In 2020, the 2017 second generation XC60 model could be purchased on the Israeli market.
The 5-door 5-seater SUV is 4,688 mm long, 1,999 wide, and has a wheelbase of 2,865 mm. The volume of its trunk reaches 483 liters.
Exterior
The 2019/2020 Volvo XC60 stands out for its ‘athletic’ exterior. It features deeply embossed elements on the doors, a prominent front grille, sharp lines and sharp edges on many parts including the bumpers, and the distinctive Thor’s Hammer LED headlights that have become hallmarks of recent Volvo models.
Modifications
In Israel, the new Volvo XC60 comes in both front and all-wheel drive variations. Whereas the front-wheel drive version can only be equipped with a 2-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 190 hp, providing a maximum speed of 205 km/h, the 4×4 version can be equipped with a wide range of power packages, including hybrid and diesel engines. All the models are complemented by an 8-speed automatic transmission. Of particular interest is a hybrid system that includes a 2-liter 302 hp turbocharged engine, which provides a maximum speed of 230 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km in 5.5 seconds.
Trim levels
Israeli buyers can choose from the following trim levels of the 2019/2020 Volvo XC60: Momentum, Momentum Plus, Inscription and R-Design. The front-wheel drive model is only available on the Momentum trim level, which has the shortest list of options, excluding an all-round camera, driving mode selection system and many other functions. And the R-Design trim is perhaps the most ‘advanced’, as it can offer the front sports seats, a black fabric ceiling, interior lighting, pedal puds and kicking plates, decorative moldings.
At the same time, all the trim levels have a leather interior and a leather steering wheel, roof rails, LED headlights, foglights, an adaptive lighting system, heated side mirrors and front seats, folding rear seats, a third rear headrest, and the 2-zone climate control.
The comfort and safety of the 2020 Volvo XC60 SUV is complemented by an almost complete set of electronic assistants, including the lane departure warning system and blind spot monitoring system, hill start assist and hill descent control, collision avoidance system and brake assist, as well as at least 6 airbags, an all-round camera, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, and an automatic parking system (except for the Momentum trim).
