The legendary English company, which began its history almost from the beginning of the 20th century. It is famous for the fact that most of its models are made by hand. Each Aston Martin has a bronze plaque on which you can find the name of the person who made it and who is responsible for a particular instance. In 2013, Aston Martin signed a strategic partnership with German automaker Daimler AG, which includes the co-development of a new V8 engine and the co-creation of the next generation Aston Martin cars.

First generation

It has been produced from 2016 to the present (data for 2020). The new DB11 replaces the DB9. The British automaker said the VI11 is a major milestone that will kick off a new era in sports car development. The first Aston Martin DB11 was designed by Marek Reichmann, the creative designer of Aston Martin, it was presented at the Geneva Motor Show. The car is built on the VH platform, which is a two-wishbone system at the front and a multi-link system at the rear. This platform assumes the abundant use of aluminum, which has reduced the weight of the car to 1,770 kg, which is important for a sports coupe.

Exterior

Compared to previous versions, the roof elements were replaced, the car received a very long hood with several deep lines and small air intakes, narrow headlights with LED filling, the bumper received smooth shapes and one large air intake, and there is also a lip below. At the rear, there are very narrow and aggressive LED headlights connected by a huge spoiler. Two large exhaust pipes were installed in the huge bumper.

Interior

The new Aston Martin DB11 is much more transformed inside compared to the DB9. The car received the highest quality of upholstery materials, mainly leather, polished aluminum, and various plastics. As the dimensions of the body have increased, the space in the cabin has increased. There are 4 seats here. The seats are comfortable, electrically adjustable, and have excellent lateral support. There is enough free space, although it is a sports car, it is still comfortable and quite convenient. Also, the ergonomics are good. The center console is very stylish. The upper part has an 8-inch touchscreen display of the multimedia and navigation system. The climate control controls are located below, as well as the branded engine start button. The steering wheel is sports, 3-spoke, leather trim. It has chrome inserts and is beveled. A 12-inch dashboard display simulating the necessary sensors and displaying a lot of useful information about the car is located behind it.

Modifications

Aston Martin DB11 2016. Engine. Coupe, 1 generation

The first DB11 was powered by a 5.2-liter V12 twin-turbo engine producing 600 hp. It was the first turbocharged Aston Martin production car. It accelerated to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 322 km/h. In the summer of 2017, a new version of the DB11 with a V8 engine developed by Mercedes-AMG appeared. The installation of this motor has led to a reduction in the car’s weight by 115 kg. The 503 hp. 4-liters engine allowed to accelerate to 301 km/h, and the acceleration time from 0 km/h to 100 km/h was 4.1 seconds.

New DB11 AMR

In 2018/2019, a new, incredibly powerful, luxurious coupe was released with excellent dynamic characteristics, refined handling, spectacular sporty design, and the most advanced technologies. It was Aston Martin DB11 AMR. It is the new flagship of the DB11 line of models, which, in addition to AMR, includes the V8 coupe and the Volante convertible. The AMR version replaced the older DB11 coupe, which was produced for two years and gained incredible popularity in the model range. During the specified period, sales of the supercar amounted to about 4,200 copies. Externally, the DB11 AMR differs from its predecessor in a black radiator grille, gloss black roof, carbon fiber body elements, darkened headlight washers, tinted taillights, and interior materials.

The character of the new coupe has become even more sporty and aggressive due to the boosted to 639 hp. 5.2-liter V12 twin-turbo engine. The engine works together with a retuned eight-speed automatic transmission. This combination made it possible to reduce the acceleration time of the supercar to 100 km/h from 3.9 to 3.7 seconds and increase the top speed from 322 to 334 km/h. An improved titanium exhaust system and polymer inserts with a distinctive rolling deep sound, as well as special suspension settings, have significantly improved the dynamic characteristics of the car.

The new Aston Martin DB11 AMR accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.7 seconds and travels at a top speed of 334 km/h.

For greater stability at high speeds, the DB11 AMR has a ton of aerodynamic secrets, including the Curlicue system, which ‘calms down’ the air flow behind the front wheels, and the hidden AeroBlade spoiler, through which air flows through the luggage compartment lid and out into the outside. vertically upward, which reduces lift.

The interior trim of 2019/2020 DB11 AMR is an elegant combination of leather with suede inserts. The double trim is also used on the bottom-trimmed sports steering wheel. On the headrests, the inscription ‘AMR’ is gracefully embroidered with white threads. The supercar is equipped with a digital dashboard, an infotainment complex with an integrated navigation system, a set of cameras for all-round visibility, electrically adjustable and ventilated sports leather seats with a contrasting center stripe, 20-inch forged wheels, a fully deactivated stabilization system, keyless access to the cabin and LED optics.

In addition to the basic version of the model, a limited-edition supercar Aston Martin DB11 AMR Signature Edition is available for order, the distinctive features of which are bright stripes on the body, made in Stirling Green, a large number of carbon fiber elements, and exclusive upholstery. It is planned to release only one hundred cars of this series.
