Crossover Bentley Bentayga. 1st generation, restyling 2020
Bentley Bentayga – a mid-size four-wheel drive premium crossover from British brand Bentley Motors, part of the German concern VAG, produced since 2016. In 2020, the first generation of this luxury family crossover was available on the Israeli market after a 2020 facelift.
A little more than 100 people are involved in the assembly of the car, the production cycle of Bentayga is divided into 43 stages, at each of which the quality of the product is carefully checked. The Bentley Bentayga has already become a truly iconic model not only for fans of the brand but also for the manufacturer itself. It is the first off-road vehicle of the British company Bentley Motors, for the first time in the history of the brand it acquired a diesel modification and was also the first to present a serial hybrid.
Exterior
In a facelifted crossover, many features of the Continental JT can be traced. In front, there are new ellipsoidal LED matrix headlights that are 30mm higher than before, a more striking bumper, and a different grille. Behind is a completely new, full width, tailgate with taillights, as if taken from a Continental GT coupe. The bumper is also new, so are the exhaust pipes. The rear fenders and track are also widened by 20 mm. In the range of wheels, there are new options with a diameter of 22 inches. The facelifted Bentayga also has different front wipers, supplemented by heating and built-in washer nozzles. For an extra charge, it can be put the ‘anti-chrome package’ Blackline with black exterior trim.
Interior
The Bentayga’s interior is by definition the epitome of luxury, with premium materials and maximum comfort options such as a two-piece panoramic roof or ergonomic massage, heated and ventilated seats. After restyling in 2020, new front seats were installed in Bentayga salon, finishing materials were revised, and in the 4-seat version, the rear sofa is located closer to the trunk. That is why free legroom for passengers has increased by 30-100 mm, depending on the position of the second row. For the first time, a digital instrument panel is installed on Bentley Bentayga 2020.
Also, a facelifted model can be recognized with a different steering wheel, rectangular central air vents instead of round ones, and new multimedia system. Now it is equipped with a 10.9-inch widescreen display with improved graphics, modernized functionality, and an additional block of control buttons lined up under the screen. Also, Bentayga 2020 has changed the layout of the buttons on the center console and the analog clock. Of course, there are also those possibilities that will help make the car exclusive. For example, for $170,000, the British are ready to place a gold mechanical chronograph with diamond inserts on the front panel.
Modifications
The base model of 2020/2021 Bentley Bentayga is equipped with a 550-horsepower 4-liter V8 biturbo petrol engine, which is combined with permanent all-wheel drive and 8-speed automatic transmission. Diesel, Hybrid, and Speed versions will be launched later.
Bentayga Speed
In the new Speed version, Bentayga SUV has got an even more striking appearance that makes it stand out from the traffic flow. Exclusive Mulliner Driving pack comes standard and includes unique colored sporting elements, tinted head, and taillights, and a new raised spoiler that underlines the car’s status as the most powerful Bentayga.
The exclusive interior color is only available for the new Bentayga Speed. Tactile Alcantara fabric elements and unique color accents create a truly unique interior.
