The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro SUV is an expensive and rich version of the Chery Tiggo 8. In China, the vehicle is known as Tiggo 8 Plus, a 7-seater mid-size SUV whose first generation was released in 2018. The Tiggo 8 is constantly being improved. It became Pro in 2021, and in the spring of 2022, it was updated to comply with its high positions in the Sell Ratings. The 2022 version received a new front bumper, larger grille, updated headlights and taillights. Exterior
Thanks to the new bumpers, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro 2022 has become a bit longer. The width of the body, equal to 1,860 mm, and the wheelbase (2,710 mm) is the same. The headlights include the Adaptive Front Light System (AFS): the beams follow the movements of the steering wheel and react to the direction indicators.
Interior
The interior has been modernized, acquiring a different front face, which houses two 12.3-inch screens united in a single block. There is a projection screen. The air conditioning is controlled by an 8-inch touch screen. The transmission lever has a spectacular backlight.
The SUV is equipped with the ecological C-Pure system, which controls the air quality inside. For this, the RICSCS remote active self-cleaning system and the CN95 medical grade air conditioning filter element are used. This is one of the positive effects of the pandemic. It is also worth noting the update of the Smart car Butler 4.0 software platform, which is more modern when working with the Internet. In addition, the vehicle will please the ear with a 10-speaker Sony audio system.
Powertrains
The new Chery Tiggo 8 Pro comes with Chery’s turbocharged gasoline engines. In Israel, the SUV will be equipped with a Kunpeng 1.6 TGDI engine producing 197 hp. This version is front-wheel drive only. The second option is a 2.0-liter TGDI engine producing 254 horsepower. The 2.0-liter modification already has all-wheel drive among the options, but it will not be available in Israel. Both versions offer a 7-speed robotic gearbox. Additionally, there are hybrid versions producing 326 hp, but it is unknown if these will be available in Israel.
